What a face❤ Very clever way to get him used to nail trimming. He even seemed to like the nail file. It just proves that most anything can be accomplished with patience and love and treats! And the grinder is much easier than the old fashioned way. The most fun part is that you get to hug your sweet boy while doing something that needs to be done. Good boy Cooper. Honestly, if your pawrents ever stop making you happy you're welcome in my home anytime 💞 and thanks for the great tips on nail care.

I rescued my dog at 2 and his nails had been neglected, so trying to trim was a nightmare. I put him in my lap (50lbs) and used the treat method too and it worked like a charm. Now he falls asleep and gets a treat when I’m finished.

Our dogs that have passed away now would also fall asleep during nail clippings but we clipped their nails ourselves from the time they were 6 mos old. When we got a 2 yr old mixed breed that was picked up as stray in St. Thomas, nail clippings are horrifying to her. We've been using the battery powered nail filer with dog jerky as a reward for sitting still thru it. Its getting better but boy do I miss the days of the dog sleeping thru our nail clippings. I envy you guys.

Umm ... kudos to whom ever sound edited your video! It made me giggle - esp now, during a time of serious distress (maybe more for this human) our dogs haaate nail trims! Go figure it’s also their super power! $10 sounded “cheap” in the beginning, but two dogs both with superdoggo nail growing powers ... I am seriously considering a go fund me page.

Believe it or not, Cooper hates nail trimming too 😂 We have to bribe him with treats and we’re just thankful he’s super food motivated that it works. It’s hard to find what works for dogs sometimes- every dog is different and has their own uniqueness

I love how relaxed he is! Lady does okay with nail clipping, she still struggled but if there is peanut butter there for her then she takes it better. I'm very interested in the nail grinder. How long have you had it and is it easy to use without hurting your dog from grinding too close to the nail vein?

We’ve had it for 3 years now and it still works pretty well. We try not to grind too close to the quick and then just use the nail filer to finish the nail. Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️❤️

I wish I had desensitized my corgi to getting her nails done as a baby like you guys did with Cooper!! It was the one thing I somehow neglected and I seriously regret it... bath time - She's good! Walking on a heel - she's fantastic. Socialized her with all sorts of dogs/hoomans/cats/other animals including my aunts horse - check. Sit/Stay/Place/Settle/Shake/Down/Leave It and a firm recall - I can check all the boxes. Doing her nails..... NOPE. So everyone in the comments PLEASE learn from my mistake and their success with Cooper - get your puppy used to having their nails done!
