Great fix, thanks for showing this steps in this level of detail. I've never checked the B+ before and this shows how easy it is.

Thanks! It's not too difficult, but the process for checking the B+ is a bit different on each type of monitor. Peter has good tips for that here: www.arcadepartsandrepair.com/tech-help/monitor-b-settings/

This was really fun to watch while I worked on my NHL Open Ice! :D Thanks for making this and congrats on getting the monitor in working order!

@@overtimearcade It's been going okay! The cab was mostly gutted so I've been tinkering and learning as much as I can and just finally managed to test out the monitor last night and was ecstatic!

Enjoyed the video. About to tackle a monitor repair myself. Thanks for being so descriptive and explaining where you got parts and flow chart. Will be looking for the flow chart for my monitor.

Thanks, you’re welcome, and good luck! What kind of monitor are you working on and what are the symptoms?

I agree I rather know exactly what was wrong rather than shotgunning it. Did you happen to bench test the voltage regulator ?
@overtimearcade Жыл бұрын
Not yet, but I’ll test it before discarding it. I usually keep all of the old parts, etc. from my projects until they’re 100% done.

Can you possibly share how I just the vertical height on this monitor? Mine plays a little too tall and I can't seem to get it adjusted. I am unsure if I'm just missing something obvious.
@overtimearcade7 ай бұрын
There should be a VERT SIZE adjustment pot right on the back on the chassis PCB (or possibly a remote board). If that pot isn't making a difference, you could have an issue with the pot itself, or a cap, or something else is wrong with the monitor. Good luck and let me know how it goes!
@michaelhannaman24747 ай бұрын
@@overtimearcade thanks. I will check again. I didn't see anything labeled vert size on the chassis even though I could adjust the horizontal from there. Maybe I just need to go slow a tweak each pot until I find the right one.
@overtimearcade7 ай бұрын
If you can determine the specific model of monitor, you can refer to the manual to see which pot controls vertical size, even if the labels have fallen off the chassis.
