How To Tune a Stihl MS250 Chainsaw

Good video Lucas! I was one of the guys that suggested using a tach when tuning a saw. I'm a firm believer in tuning a non-mtronic saw with a tach. Everybody seems to think that they're "experts" on tuning by ear, and to put it politely, a lot of those times, they're wrong.

The MS250 has those little plastic sleeves over the carb adjustment screws that prevents you from being able to fully adjust the carb. They are put there to prevent people from accidently burning up their saw. You can pop them right off tho, and that will allow for full range carb adjustment.

Hi Lucas. That was some good info. I never thought about the tuning my saws. I just took them out of the box and run them. They have worked good for years but now I am wondering if they are running at their peak performance. Something to think about. well I really enjoyed the video. Take care and have a great week.

I never tune my saw, and have been running it factory settings for 15+ years.
