Most bushhogs are just big lawnmowers. The blades are definitely not made to pulverize trees.

Thank you for this content. I'm looking to buy land and build and was looking for waterfront or ponds but then thought maybe I'd just dig my own pond. This is very helpful!

Really enjoyed this video. Partially because I haven’t been following along too long, so the recap was sure appreciated. Really happy to see things come together more and more. Looking forward to much more to come. BTW, I put the MechMaxx SG-24 through about 7 hours of grinding the other day. Half dozen 24-40” stumps and a few dozen 6-18”. Did really well. Lost one tooth a few hours in. To anyone that has one, make sure you check torque after an hour or two of breaking in new teeth. Also, with a quick hitch the shaft is a comfortable length and won’t need trimmed, but it articulates so much my two shield half’s moved just enough apart to separate then chew each other up and need to be trimmed off. So far I’d say it’s every bit equal to Woodland Mills (they’re identical except for price) and is grinding as good as my Baumalight 1P-24 that was quite a bit more $. Thanks again!

@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead I haven't seen any red flags on this grinder, ordering, communication, or delivery. So far so good. I got a 60" tiller from them for my new, bigger tractor. I haven't used it yet, but I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it this spring. I'm completely confident it'll do well.

Lucas, I found you today because I am interested in milling wood, but have a lot of questions. I hope to be milling by late summer 2025 or at least early fall. Lot of moving parts in the way. This particular content disturbed me to no end. As far as I have seen, in just the saw milling playlist, you have been very open and honest about what you pay for, what you partner with and what the arrangement is (yes, a demo tool, but freedom to express your honest opinion without hesitation). I can say, that I have appreciated your work. I can only imagine how hard it is to produce such amazing content, do the editing, etc. I can surely tell you, if my dreams come true and I am able to buy my own mill, it will be a MechMaxx. I also expect to need a similar machine to your Kubota, and I am impressed with what you do with it. Finally, I will obviously need the mobile tool cart and some Stihl chainsaws. So pleased to support you and the channel. Your hobbies are awesome and your love of family is admirable. Don’t know if all the dads would agree to play XBox WWE with their kids!! (Love Caden). I played with Barbie’s and got dressed up in crazy outfits for my 3 “girls” (now all adults). It just makes me FEEL GOOD to watch your content. Do not worry about those that don’t understand. In any part of life there will always be a minimum of 20% of folks that interact with you that will object. It is not worth your time trying to make them happy. Nothing will likely make them happy. Focus on the folks that support, devour and learn for your content. It is truly one of the best I have come upon. Thank you for your commitment to the Hobby Farm!! All the best, CY

To be fair, a stump grinder isn't for grinding a stump level. It's specifically for removing the stump below the ground. Yes, your mulcher ground the stump. No, it's not a stump grinder. Yeah, you could maybe finagle it to remove the whole stump, but that's going to be a lot of finagling. Lol

I love this story Lucas. I just started my channel last year. Almost a year to date. I had no intentions at the time to do anything different than fulfill my obligations to Hot Shot's Secret, but since then, I plan on going until it possibly pays one day. I enjoy doing it, I have several affiliates that support me in product and I will keep on trying my friend. I also want to thank you for being transparent. You are my kind of people.

I hope you didn't end up using teflon tape!!!!! When little pieces of the tape dislodge, they get stuck in valve body between the spool valve and the bore!!! This causes the spool valve to get stuck and can mess up other hydraulic components. Rather than using tape (and only for pipe fittings) use pipe dope instead!!!

Just discovered your channel and I like it. You've answered a question I had. I just bought a 20 acre farm in California gold country. It needs a lot of work to get it back in action. The property is loaded with dead fall, live trees and widow makers. All oak. Since it's a hard wood, I wasn't sure if the Mechmaxx sawmill would handle it. I'd say that's a yes. Just pasture fencing repair will run 10k plus, so the mill is a no brainer. Thanks, Chris Higley
