I did a similar job on my old CRE 8900 and CRT 6900n. I recorded the roger bleep on FM and then adjusted the BFO the same way you did, but used the bleep. The recorded bleep was used as a reference, so it became like tuning a guitar, etc. I found it to be quite accurate, as I got the audio frequency spot on...

Great video indeed. Just purchased my Cre 8900 after many years of being off air. My last radio i had then sold was a Mk1 Lincoln but wanted to go mobile nowdays on the good ol "Muppets" and "SSB".

They are a great radio , I have the Alinco and the CRE 8900 , Same radio different name , Good radios and can be had used cheaply , The mk1 Lincoln is a decent radio , But Ide take the CRE/Alinco over one of them now , Mainly because the Alinco does it all with modification , As for actual transmit receive on the Alinco Vs the Lincoln there's not much in it really , Both of them work about the same as each other , The Alinco though is more versatile being its programmable , So you can set up different bands frequencies to your liking , Such as the 27/81 all in line , Something you can't do on the Lincoln .

Nice tutorial, is this a common problem with the DX135/DX10? As I am in the motions of look at one to buy, or is this an isolated case? Also looking at the CRT6900

Most modern radios no matter what are, Are of frequency a little bit , I was just showing how to put the radio back on frequency if you ' Didn't ' have the correct tools to do the work ...... I've also a CRE-8900 , Basically the same radio as the DR-135 and I've not had an issue , I've also got two other DR-135's that I've not had any issues with .... Although now I've got a Superstar 9900 and have to say it's a fantastic radio and in my view better than the DR-135 👍

Hi I’ve enjoyed your video very much and found it very interesting. Will this work on the 6900 which is a similar radio as the other day I was told that my 6900 was off frequency?

I cant really say, Asw ive never owned a 6900.

Does this adjust the receive at the same time or is it just transmit? To hear people clear on side bands I have to change from 00 to 13 at the end of the frequency. So before I adjust do I have to put it on 00. Thanks.

I have a couple of these radios. They are off frequency a little. Can you tell me where to find the information on exactly what the service menu steps are? I have found some information but none of it is really clearly explained.

so would you not set the AM carrier first? Then usb and lsb get set to their respective offsets? Also make sure the radio has been on for a while so its at working temperature. Great video though. Thanks for posting 73 Mark
@Gw0wvl4 жыл бұрын
There is no interaction between any of the modes, Not in the way this radio is set up, The modes are independent of each other, So altering AM has no baring on SSB. And visa versa.

@@Gw0wvl Ahhh cool I didnt realise that. Guess im not used to this modern DDS stuff. But thanks for the clarification, see never too old for me to learn new stuff. Again thanks for sharing.

Hi my alinco dr135uk is a bit too high on USB but I've got the bf menu at its lowest point which is bf130 any ideas as to what I could do to further adjust ,in order for me to tune to 27.555.00 my radio is set to 27.553.70?
@Gw0wvl4 жыл бұрын
Try the tune up method in the video, ailing that ive had to replace the oscillator crystal in some radios as its just not on the frequency its made for... example .. a 15.000 mhz crystal may actually be on 15.020 mhz , All these types of radios are built fairly cheaply, so the parts are sourced as cheaply as possible to to keep costs down and profits high, Every manufacturer does this, But some more cheaply than others .
