How to Tune the Viola

Best tutorial I have come across. I only have one question. My A string is playing as a c on my tuner. From what you showed I'm thinking I need to loosen at the peg and slowly tighten until it plays the a note on my tuner?

Thank you so much! As for your A string, if the tuner reads C then yes it is probably way too high! I’m surprised it didn’t break:) Definitely loosen it, remember to push the peg to the left as you loosen so it doesn’t slip and completely untune. If there’s a music store near you, or even a public school with an orchestra program, I’m sure they could help if you’re struggling to tune it! Hope that helps!

thank you for replying so quickly. I did loosen and tighten until the a note played. But it still sound sounds too flat and really low. I have no idea what to do now. If fund allowed I would just take it to get tuned until I learn a little more. So for now I'll keep searching videos. Again thank you so much for your reply.
