Should tell people to run the engine first to warm the oil so 99 % all comes out !!

Tip: put a plastic bag under gas tank cap to prevent leakage of gas when you turn lawn mower onto its side.

yea he likes to showcase the technical aspect of removing the glass clippings from under the deck for 15 seconds instead. its a good thing he put that in there. otherwise i wouldnt know how to scrape the clippings off. everyone is born with the knowledge of sharping a mower blade so it didnt make the final cut (no pun intended) of the video.

Good informative vid but I am surprised a master tech wouldn’t use a torque stick when tightening a lawnmower blade.
@donzi32boats805 жыл бұрын
Same thought I had. Toro recommends 90lb of torque. Pretty important info to leave out.
@norge6964 жыл бұрын
@@donzi32boats80 90lbs? Jesus. Maybe for a riding lawn mower. Depends on the mower. Most are 40-60ft lbs. Plus once you've done enough blades you can just do it by feel, especially for a walk behind mower. I'd be more worried if he didn't torque down the flywheel with a torque wrench.

I always like to put a little less oil in than what it says. Then top it up using the dipstick. Reason being there's always a little old oil left in the motor.

If the mower has a belt drive, draining from the bottom drain plug may accidentally hit the belt.
