For logic folks too, if your going for glides in the 808 you have an option in the new sampler but my honest opinion and I could be bugging but alchemy is still the best for them gliding 808s. Hopefully they add legato into the new sampler.

@@JamaalAbiade another thing real quick bro, even if you had the 808s up an octave to hear it would still be off regardless due to tuning right?

Depending of the sound of the 808 Bc some feat more gritty the lower it gets. But the cents MIGHT be off by a little

Everytime i hit a it shows a different letter. I hit A and it shows C which makes me think its perfectly fine but next time i hit it it shows d or b or some other letter. Can you please explain why
@comradebrucewayne26072 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the velocity that you hit the note (how hard/fast or soft/slow) can impact the note that the Tuner plugin detects, especially when working with distorted 808s that are not one single note. For example some 808s start at the root note but fade to a lower or higher note, this is just for style purposes it makes the sound dynamic. A workaround for this when trying to tune the 808 would be to draw in your note (press n to open midi notes and cmd+click any note) and just set the velocity to say 75 or something. Click the drawn in note with the Tuner plugin open and that way it should show consistently because the note will be played at the same velocity every time. Lmk if u have any questions

Wow this is helpful. The only problem is I don't use FL, I use Wavelab and Cubase when I mix and master do beats etc...I'm actually working on a Mobb Deep Survival Of The Fittest remix. I got the actual sounds to that record that I purchased from Havoc himself. I have to get the 808's in key with the rest of the record.
