When FlashZilla intially connects to my device and tries to update it, it keeps making me download an "IDS INSTALLER" 3.0 file but never applies it or allows me to get into the program. What am i doing wrong?

Why do you VIn lock the FlashZilla to a particular vehicle?

This is the way Alientech, the manufacturer designed this tool. Our new FlashZilla Pro is not vin locked and can be used on multiple vehicles.

I have a 2002 alh but it keeps saying error cannot obtain stock file i already have a stage 1.5 and am trying to go to stage 2 but i cannot pull my ecu/tune files. I didnt previously have the tunezilla prior to this just the car tuned by a shop. Any tips?

Mk4s can be finicky, if you have an aftermarket radio you'll need to unplug/pull the radio fuse. Most aftermarket radios use the main ECU Kline wire for switched power. If you're still having issues, head to over to tunezilla.com and open a ticket. Our support staff will be happy to assist you from there.

DSG support is only available with some TCU's via FlashZilla/Powergate. You should confirm with our support team to make sure it will work for your vehicle.

Great video! My Jetta TDI was tuned before I got it, I purchased Malone stage 4 and running into the invalid file problem. When uploading tuned files to zilla tool, Should I use the tunezilla stock file instead of my download stock file I sent in before I apply the stage 4 tune? If so can I add the egr delete & high idle to the stock tune when I upload it? Thanks for your time 🙂

I feel like you guys could have made the tuning process much easier with less steps. I flashed my GTI with unitronic and their uni connect cable and it was so much easier then this. Maybe something to consider? I want to tune my tdi but this seems like to many things can go wrong if you make a small mistake.
