You're right. This kit is different than the one I purchased. When I made the video the one I bought was out of stock. I originally tried hooking in a fuel cut defender but didn't work well for me. Worked ok on light throttle boost but not heavy throttle. I just hooked in a megasquirt ecu. I know obx still sells missing links for 35 i think.

When it was at 8 psi yeah. Waste gate diaphragm ripped and shot to 16 psi or so and cracked 3 pistons. It has a fully built motor now

Lol stock green with rush paint job. The yellow is ugly and the guy did that and the brake calipers yellow. The valve cover is silver now at least when I put the engine back in lol

It's not terrible just out of my comfort zone. I had base coat green similar to stock just said fuck it and didn't want to pay 300 for paint again. She's coming along just no motivation lately

You’re running into issues because you have the wrong fuel set up a fuel cut defender is not gonna fix that the problem is the 1:1 ratio fuel pressure regulator is not enough you need to run a 12:1 FMU That will solve your problem because the computer is not cutting fuel you just don’t have enough

I feel like raising the fuel pressure itself with a 1:1 rising rate would have fixed it. I do get were you're coming from but it quite literally would fall on its face. It's fuel cut. Either way, i put a megasquirt in now so too late for me to try. Thanks for the input. Maybe if I do another 420a build I'll try it

@@NITROKID98 alright. Sorry if I sound like an ass. It's been a long day. I get the fmu part and why the fpr would be the issue. I just know they made it to were the ecu isn't supposed to see boost and some got lucky and others didn't and needed a missing link or fcd

8 psi is fine on these engines. It's been proven. I did blow it up on 15 psi but you wouldn't know that since you just want to bad mouth and watch one video. Thanks for the view but you don't have to watch if you're not interested
