You did a good job! The times I took my tops off, which wasn't many, I just left them home.I figured I would scratch mine so I didn't want to fool around too much. I just got my SV back with the Exhaust Upgrade. You have to do it! The difference is crazy, and since you seem to always have the tops off you really could enjoy the sound. It's night and day. If it was close to the stock sound I would say don't waste your money, but this makes it sound like a race car. The timing for you to do it is also perfect. Your SV is at the dealer so he could do it for you right now. :-)

thanks, yea it is tricky to keep them from being scratched which is why I had both tops wrapped and coated :) I will definitely look into the exhaust upgrade too! :)

That was smart to do that with your tops. I just had mine clear coated. You will love the sound of the upgrade. In Strada, its stays off so you can dive through quiet streets so the cranky neighbors won't get upset, but once you switch into Sport or Corsa mode.Its a whole different animal. You will love the sound. Another good point is since its being discontinued on 8/31, when you go to trade you car in you will have something not many SVs have, which will make it a little more special. :-)

Hi, No, they still happen. None of that changed. It's just crazy the difference when its in Strada and then when you put it in Sport or Corsa. Even the Flat Bed guy couldn't believe the difference. You really have to do it. If you hate it, you can always have it removed but you will love it. The full Exhaust system upgrade for 15k I wouldn't do. They dealer said its way to loud and obnoxious,but he said if that's your thing then go for that. I said no thanks to that.

You are delightfull...Cool car....My first car I bought new was a 1990 corvette. They give you a ratchet wrench to unbolt the glass top.(Its plastic)2 bolts then it stores in the back similar to what that has. 1 piece though. Camera man got some good shots. Wonder what he was using. You and the car with the bridge and the lights was cool. 1 of the closeups was great. Sharp!

Great tutorial! Thanks! I had no idea how these tops worked. A fair amount of engineering there with the latch system, top cover plates, and the holders in the trunk to secure them. Very cool. Even though it's a number of steps to do this, Lamborghini has done well compared to the Murcielago Roadster top, which is said to be similar to setting up a camping tent! Lol! Btw, she looks absolutely gorgeous when she's "topless"! :) A big congrats on 5K subs too!

thanks, glad you enjoyed it, totally agree that they got the engineering and method for securing in the panels in the trunk right. The murcie top I have heard was a real nightmare so I am glad this is easier and allows for a true hard top panel set as opposed to a temp soft top.
