Turning your first tapered legs can be quite frustrating. We will show you how we produce consistent results. As a component of midcentury modern furniture the basic tapered leg is a skill that allows you to build matching legs no matter what wood type you choose. Walnut, cherry, and maple are popular woods for furniture building, but a coffee table leg in any of these wood types would cost $40 to $50 dollars each. This adds a huge cost to your project! If you are using an exotic wood such as wenge, tiger wood, teak, etc, you are on your own! Legs of these woods are not available. I hope these tips will help you turn out great tapered legs a little quicker and more consistently. Good luck!
