I was just searching for this exact thing. I’d also recommend Zombie Extreme, it adds more zombie variation as well as a new biome with mobs which are comparable to bosses; as well as Bunker Down which adds bunkers for you to explore or make base on. Cool vid

Any tips on how to combine mods oneself? I haven’t modded MC in ages and when I did, I mainly played overhaul packs that were already done for me. I’ve got a launcher, just forget the name and can’t check atm unfortunately :(

I was hungering for somn like this for quite awhile now. Made a modpack myself a months back but it was too hard, too many mods and wasn't optimized properly. Thank you for this. Also I would suggest dynamic trees as an optional mod for more immersive forest, trees in vanilla minecraft make forest travelling hard, some trees are too low so you have to break blocks yourself to move. Aswell as magnesium or rubidium paired with magnesium/rubidium extras for the true darkness option. Makes the game much creepier.

hello, well other mods that i highly recommend for this to get even better are: lost blood (it is not so popular, but i can make a loot better the world if you want to make a really zombie apocalypse) dynamic lights (lets be honest, we are not going to be placing a torch every 5 seconds so i suggest you that mod) dynamic trees (if you want to get a better trees and get a better generation, install that)

Tbh i didnt think the lost cities mod was ported to 1.16.5, im bout to make the perfect modpack (will be released on curseforge eventually, along with a very different, but somewhat the same 1.12.2 predecessor variant which is due to release likely this weekend at the latest), basically a collection of the modlist ive used over the years and refined to work the way i intended over time, now that im finally updating to 1.16.5 i figured id upload the 1.12.2 variant and eventually the one im making on curseforge for others to use. The 1.12.2 modpack i made is basically a modern themed modpack based on alot of tech related stuff with a combination of tinkers contruct and custom quests via customnpcs. The 1.16.5 version im making now is a more refined version of the 1.12.2 modpack with many new features the predecessor doesnt have and much more optimized. Also less buggy in nature as theres next to no beta mods and no alpha mods like there is in the 1.12.2 version

Once i came across a modpack which had zombie awareness, rough mobs, bloodmoon, scape and run parasites and mutant mobs mods. Then upon those there were tough as nails for realistic temperature, eternal winter mod(makes winter season permanent for all biomes) and hbm nuclear tech mod. Absolutely frickin hilarious modpack.😅😂 And the starter kit is a woolen armor, pistol and bread thats all. You can't even survive till the first 10 mins. Lol 😂
