This doesn't work. The updater has multiple places it can launch from. Just disabling it in Task Scheduler is useless.

You lost me at "open the file manager on your computer"

file manager is the yellow envelope in the task bar (File explorer) or you could press win + E (win = button on the keyboars with the windows logo) If you want to access directly computer mangement you can just search computer management in the windows search bar

TLDR > M$ moved the peas around the plate and this YTer doesn;t know WTF he's talking about !!! The YTer is running WIN 11. In Windows 11 M$ opted to rename the old (Win 10 and earlier) SERVICES Application as Computer Management and add some (useless) bells and whistles while adding in an option to directly access BOTH the Services Manager AND System Settings directly from the Finder.

It doesn't work. If it were that easy, then it would be possible to disable updates in this way. But unfortunately, it doesn't work.

NOPE !!! This does NOTHING. In Windows 10 it was called Windows Services and Adobe Acrobat Update Service - DISABLE supposedly did the same thing; but Adobe (corporation) adds in something that constantly renables it despite going in and manually disabling the application.

This is totally useless without first showing us how to get to that first "file manager" screen.

Right click the Windows icon on the task bar, you should find it under Computer Management.

Just type in Start bar "Task Scheduler" and open
