For anyone who is facing some issues, check if there is a backlight level button above the numbers row. It should look like a keyboard with some lines above. For me, it is F8 button and there are 3 intensity of light and if I press the fourth time, it turns off. I'm on a Modern 14 B4MW, btw.

But what is it with the backlit, either it's always off or always on. Acer Nitro series has an option where in case the keyboard is not in use, then the lights would go off, and when you are using it they'll automatically turn on. Of course along with the option to permanently keep them turned on or off. P.S Maybe i am missing something? Do we have this feature on msi?

I think it's like that on all laptops of this particular model. It's the same for me. I just think it was how the keyboard backlight was designed. Probably no way to fix it.
