How to turn off PIN security on the Android lock screen

How to remove the Android lock screen PIN. This will show you how to get to the Android security settings and remove the PIN requirement putting the device back to swipe to unlock only. Take note this is not to hack an Android device but only how to do it if you know the current PIN on the device for those that are having trouble.

This video was perfect and it worked for me. Was able to get rid of the request for a pin number and restore to access to my phones' screen via the simple "swipe" method. I have been struggling with this all afternoon. The key was you mentioning that their is no option to turn off. I felt like I landed back on earth. I did as you suggested by hitting swipe and that removed the pin screen lock. You are the king 👑 of the day. Motorola phones use to be easier and more obvious to use. I had to go to SECURITY and then had to CLEAR CREDENTIALS. It was then that I could change back to SWIPE.

I had the same problem. I used the “clear credentials” option under general security settings. When I returned to the screen lock setting, the swipe option was no longer grayed out.
