How to turn on new treadmill without iFit | treadmill is not working (Fixed)

Hi guys! In this video I show you guys how to turn on your new treadmill without needing to create an IFit account. Most new treadmills come with a sticker indicating that you can’t operate your new treadmill without creating an iFit account, which isn’t free and many times will cause users problems when trying to cancel after a free trial. In this video I show you how to avoid this.

Just bought a new treadmill yesterday, not knowing anything about this iFit garbage. Tried to to the online registration thing, slammed on brakes when it got to the credit card part. Called customer service (that was a joke), had to listen to a recording for a few minutes, then the worst music (I use that term loosely) to ever assault my ears, then another recording. To say it was frustrating would be the understatement of the century. The recording even hung up on me after about 20 minutes. Decided to see if I could find an iFit bypass on the interweb, and low & behold I found your video. Awesome!!!! Worked perfectly!!!!! Thank you soooooo much!!!!!!!

I just put my new Pro Form treadmill together and was not happy with the sign that my treadmill was locked until I set up a IFIT account, that I don't want. It says you can cancel at anytime; however, I would probably end up paying them for at least one month before I remembered to cancel. This is my third Pro Form treadmill and this is the first time they have left a bitter taste in my mouth over a program that I DO NOT WANT.

Thank you for posting this! We just got a ProForm 995i. The instructions for activating/unlocking it after setup are intentionally ambiguous, trying to force you to sign up for the iFit account. (Just as another commenter indicated.) None of the included instructions, ProForm "support" site, or iFit website give any kind of guidance on how to unlock the treadmill without first signing up with iFit and giving them your credit card info. I'd already read numerous stories of people getting charged full-year fees immediately upon registration of their "free trial", and/or fighting for weeks to get refunds. So, just like you, I wanted to avoid all that. As you indicated, it took about a 15 second hold on the iFit button and then the treadmill unlocked, and I was able to do a manual program and take my first walk on it. Absolutely ridiculous that I had to find a KZbin video to tell me how to do that, but I'm very grateful you took the time to share this!

I just wanted a Treadmill I could plug up and go...Had I know all this crap had to be done just to walk I would NOT have bought it. These people should be fined! Update that no one asked for --- I have a Pro-Form Hybrid Trainer (elliptical/recumbent bike). This little hack works for that also. Mine has a Blue Tooth button rather than the iFit button but it still works. Thank you for posting this video.

It took me many hours to discover that I needed to connect the plug to the front of the machine near the floor! (Sport E5.0 Pro-form). I had it plugged into a random hole on the side of the machine-it fit so snug! 🤦‍♂️ I unnecessarily unscrewed the monitor looking for a battery compartment, took apart the main shaft in order to analyse the wire, reconnected the connection to the monitor, tried different outlets in the house. They didn’t have this “obvious” detail in the instruction manual. (Like holding the button as discussed in the comments.) I did look for where to plug it in a few times. Best of luck! So frustrating. I love my wife again (after hating her for buying it.) 🙃
