This is great, when my Inspiron 7300 2n1 arrived the black lite was on dim I watched your video and followed your instructions, it worked but I did not have to use the function key just the F5 key; click-1 time low light, click again bright light, click again no light on keyboard, Thanks.

my cat sat on my keyboard and triggered the off switch. i would have never figured out how to turn it on myself. so something pushed both keys at the same time on your keyboard for it to trigger.

Thank you! This has been so frustrating and all the forums I went to never mentioned the BIOS. I haveit changed now, but the one thing it wouldn't do is allow me to change from Dim to Bright. At least I can now (mostly) see the keys in dim light.
