How to turn ONE pattern into DOZENS of grooves [Drum Lesson]

I use this process a lot to flesh out ideas for my own bands. Good ol' plug n chug. Just like middle school algebra.

I've been playing drums for years and "just lately" I'm seeing 👀 those (Two 16ths with One 8th note) OR (One 8th note with Two 16th notes) osteanatos...🤔🎵 I actually just saw an old video where Frank Briggs says....It is essential!

So cool to watch these videos. What if doing the right hand patterns with left foot, but never doing them at the same time. Also change them around at diffrent measures.. 🤯 Well this is yet another type of stuff my brain never gonna wrap itself around. I'm just gonna put it in a box along with other impossible stuff to learn. 🙃

@@aswinsa7281 I can do the first right hand variations to a 4/4 beat. But I don't even know where to start doing that in 7 at the same time. And then get that hihat foot in there... No, that type of coordination for me is impossible.

It is SO HARD to incorporate the high-hat foot and play solid time...🤯 My high-hat is always chick chick'n away but...it just does whatever. 🙄
