I’ve finally gotten around to watching this video. What a nice journal!!! (I still buy a different style tissue box, Puffs - the one that has the hole part on top and part of the side). I will have to see if I can follow what you’ve done here with my boxes. I like the way you did this journal - style and process. I notice you give various glues use throughout. I like the method you use for sewing in the signature. And the sewing of the button with the fabric for strength and cuteness! And the spine fabric. Really well done, as always!! Thank you for using this box and showing the difference from the other style box. ❤❤

I made the smaller journal you made last time but I found that when I put the tim Hlotz paper on it was to bulky to fold well so I would assume that you would want to use a lighter weight paper to cover the outside so i decided to make a template using a file folder and it worked a lot better at least I could fold it. I mean maybe I did something wrong I don't know.

If you are using thick paper such as Tim Holtz, the key is not to glue it over the folds (creases), otherwise it will be too bulky. In my folios video, I only covered one side completely, for the other side I cut my paper into sections an left about 1/8" of an inch between the edge of the paper and a crease. Thinner paper works best. This is a perfect opportunity to use up those cheaper thin one-sided papers that we all have in our stash 😉 Happy crafting! 😊🍁🧡🍂
