Thanks for this! Mar 2024. When I initally first played Fortnite (2023) on my xbox, I never linked it to an Epic account. I started to enjoy then finally tried to link the account to my ps5 as well. I kept getting errors that my email addresses were already linked for both email addresses. (1-Personal and 2-xbox hotmail). So I opened incognito mode, did this process > sign up screen > selected xbox > Signed in with 2-xbox hotmail email > signed up with a 3rd gmail account > Then when I went to connection/apps it showed my xbox account linked! Then from there I was able to connect to my PSN account > logged in to PSN network> connected successfully. So glad it worked 👍🏼

To upgrade a nameless account you need to sign into your Xbox PlayStation or Nintendo switch account on epic games and from there you should be able to upgrade your nameless account to an epic account Hope this helps

Hey pls answer bro, ok so i have a headless account with no email or name or pasword because i skipped the would you like to link your account, i have tried to go into the fortnite website, click log in, picked the playstation option, then it says hey we have found your account for playstation, create a new epic games account to save all your progress and information, then it asks for a new email, display name and password, when i create this new account will the playstation headless account be linked to it? And when i log into the epic games launcher with my playstation account that i linked to that new epic games account, and i open the game, will i have all my skins and cosmetics? yea, you will keep your stuff. After selecting log into Playstation on the website, fill out the page with your email and choose a password. It will convert your nameless account into a full epic account.

Unfortunately you need that email because if you can’t sign into your switch account directly it won’t find you Fortnite account. You could try to go on KZbin and see if there is a video on your issue.

For switch instead of using ur email, u can use ur Nintendo sign in ID, if u don’t know how to check that, u go to ur user setting on switch in the friends/profile area and u will find it eventually

Hi there! Thanks for commenting. Nameless accounts use your consoles gamer tag by default, however that’s tied to your console account specifically. This means that it’s possible someone is already is using your gamer tag name as their epic display name. This means you will unfortunately have to enter a different display name as it’s been taken. Don’t worry if the display name is different for your console gamer tag, your epic games and console account will still be linked together correctly and you will be able to still enable 2fa. I hope this helps and don’t hesitate to ask any more questions you may have.

It means you already have an epic account and you need to sign into it

You need to close any Epic account you are signed into. Basically you are linking the xbox you use now, with all your fortnite progress, to a new epic account. It says you already have an account as you have signed in before under your current email address. You cannot use that email address for this. You need a new, or different email address. I opened one just for this purpose. Make sure you're signed out of Microsoft and Epic. In Epic, click the top right to open a new account. It will ask you to choose (xbox, playstation or switch). I chose Xbox. It then asked me to sign into my microsoft account, which i did (make sure it is the account your current fortnite play is on). You then set up your Epic account with your new email address and a new username. It doesn't matter what this is. Once you have followed all instructions, it will have opened a new Epic account. Fill in your details, address etc. Then check in the 'connections' tab. You will see it is now linked on xbox (or whatever you have chosen) and shows the gamertag it is linked to. Good luck!

You first need to sign in with your console login on the epic page click either PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. Then login with your consoles credentials. Once you get to setting up your epic account you can use any email as this login is different from your console login.

I’ve tried this today for my daughters account on Nintendo switch but when I log in via Nintendo it brings me to a screen saying I need to put in my email associated to the account even tho it’s a nameless account… 💀
