Here’s a quick tip: Instead of cluttering the layers panel with a load of adjustment layers, if your adjustment layer doesn’t require any masking convert your the layer you’re adjusting to a smart object and use the image->adjustments panel. The smart object adjustments are non destructive unlike with regular layers. Of course, continue using adjustment layers for groups of layers and for adjustments that require masking as smart object adjustments do not take advantage of masking and groups will be baked together if converted to a smart object Edit: Make sure to mask your subjects AFTER converting the layers to smart objects, as the conversion makes the mask permanent

Adjustment layers have individual masks, that’s why I use them. Smart filters are extremely limited
