You have to " unlock bootloader critical " inorder to flash the rom using fastboot rom !

Go to fastboot mode in your phone and connect your device , open cmd in your pc and type " fastboot flashing unlock_critical " and you will get a prompt on your device just accept the prompt and you have unlocked critical partition .Now try flashing the Rom using MiFlash .

My phone is stuck in a bootloop apparently because in the rooting tutorial i was following [absolutely techie's video] the twrp file he provided [version 3.3] causes a bootloop if you flash it on the stock android 10 rom. What happens when you have an A/B slot phone like the Mi A3? My "B" slot works fine, "A" slot no. Can't boot into recovery or any rom.

One of the slot contains your existing rom and when you receive an update , it gets flashed on the other slot thereby having a seamless updates. While one of your Slot contains the rom you should boot from the other slot .

@@loopofhope Ok you might be able to help me out? I've posted this to other platforms too (xda mainly/mi a3 telegram) but no help yet. "I'm having a problem to install CrDroid ROM on my phone. I unlocked bootloader also the "critical" option. I started trying to install OrangeFox but I had some weird problem, when booting from it I had random generated characters (like they were encrypted) on the "sdcard" path. So I couldn't do anything from it. Somehow I think I messed up my "a" and "b" boot slot though. My default active slot from the factory was "b" so I tried all that with "a" slot but had no luck. I managed to get TWRP installed on slot "b" which boots into TWRP recovery if I press volume+ and power, and if not the phone boots to the normal android one factory ROM. I then gone through TWRP and installed CrDroid Rom through the zip (crDroidAndroid-10.0-20200413-laurel_sprout-v6.5) and after the successful installation of the zip the phone reboots. And slot "a" gets activated and it just shows fastboot mode. So anyway the thing is on slot "a" the phone does nothing even with volume+ and power it just goes into fastboot mode. If I activate slot "b" the phone works as I stated above. I tried flashing TWRP while slot "a" is active but still won't go into recovery. Just shows fastboot I also just realized that when booting to slot "b" on the factory rom Wifi is broken, it turns off immediately. MAC Address is changed to 02:00:00:00:00:00 I flashed persist.img through fastboot (fastboot flash persist persist.img ) and didn't fix it. Also I can't make GSM Calls. "System UI Not Responding" Any ideas? Should reset the phone fully at stock, so both a/b slot will be factory stock, and start over? Is there anyway to do it?"

@@Kauleas Your phone is encrypted . Thats why your are seeing those random characters.Just format data on both the slots through the twrp.After that choose your rom of choice and flash it on one slot and then change slot and reboot your phone. If it still persists i recommend doing a factory stock through my method and hopefully the System ui issues will be gone.

You better try through EDL mode but that requires you to disassemble your phone.there are a lot of tutorials based on it on KZbin .If none works i guess taking it to your nearby service center is the best choice .

Make sure to copy the proper directory address of the rom and paste it into MiFlash. If you go wrong thats why you are getting error. I suggest you to rewatch the tutorial properly .

@@loopofhope no. my device was locked. due to bricks my phone i cant go to the developer options. so i went to the servicing center and they flash me OS 8.1. After it i browsing my phone for 2 hrs then the auto restart problem happen again and my phone became bricks again.
