Yes, this is a re-upload. I’m sorry for the people that have seen it! I had some issues with KZbin so I decided to upload it again. I’m already working on a new video so stay patient and we go again soon 🚀

I agree. Even if the track is the cleanest and a tyre explodes they will still blame it on debris. (Edit) Great vid

Actually, the full wets can be as performant as they want, barely anyone will use them anyway. As soon as there is enough water on the track for wets, the safety car or red flafg will come out any minute now, so the last thing you want to do is make a stop and lose track position. This also becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, with everyone running through rivers on inters crashes become very likely.

This guy has no idea what he's talking about. Pirelli wet tires have no issues, the problem is these ground effect cars that spray to much water from the diffuser.

Yup, I also maintain my opinion that we may have gained more "varied race strategies" with the Pirelli tires but we lost too much driver individuality since almost everyone now needs to have the same driving style or at least maintain it within the same narrow window in order to have their tires last, this works great for those who are naturally suited for this kind of driving but I'm sure we haven't seen the full potential of quite a few drivers on the grid over the years because of the limitations the current tires place on them. I really hope they find some happy medium where we get both interesting strategies but also promote different driving styles.

Exactly this.

Pirelli has found a way to make a tire only work within the parameters they design into the tires, not forgiving at all, even the harder compounds can be f*cked in the 1st 5 laps if you don't baby them in. They could make tires thicker to make the sweet spot last more laps, but they don't. You can't even just go immediately to another supplier, because they've been out of the F1 loop for years.

I think you mandate all 3 tires get used and you widen the operating window and worry less about the tires degrading because the pit stops are mandatory.

We can ask the same question about Pirelli. If they can't make good tyres and blame it on anyone and anything else than themselves when a tyre explodes (like Lance Stroll and his lack of driving abilities), why are they still in F1?

The FIA also demanded these kind of tires
@thekyuwa5 сағат бұрын
"I don't know anything about this subject and I'm gonna be loud about it regardless" Pirelli provides the kind of tires FIA tells them to make. Michelin tried to enter F1 and then bailed out because they didn't like what the FIA was asking them to make.

a mandated 2 pit stops would remedy this, and fans are calling for this for years

Exactly
@AnarRamazanov-po5le11 сағат бұрын
I think that the best way to get around this is to introduce a rule which forces drivers to use every set available: for example, if Pirelli brings C2, C3 and C4 tyres to a track, drivers must use at least one set of these tyres each during the race (this guarantees that everyone will make at least 2 pit stops)

It's simple, we uh [CENSORED] Formula One Management and Liberty Media. And then if that doesn't work, then we bring Bridgestone or Michelin back.
