I have learned some of your tips slowly and tentatively over the years. I still have a lot to learn but videos like yours greatly accelerate the learning process. You really focus on the subtle but critical keys to great watercolor paintings, and not on gimmicks. I love your loose, impressionistic style and I really thank you for sharing your knowledge.

This is a great tutorial, I've watched lots of your videos but this really explains what you refer to as the larger shapes. Thanks for all your fab content.

Hello Matt, just discovered your video channel lately and I am very pleased that I did. So informative and well communicated in clear, helpful instructions. Love that you state objectives at the beginning and summarize on many of your tutorials. Were you ever a teacher?? I have never tried wetting both sides of the paper but will give it a go soon. Keep the videos coming, fantastic and your paintings are so loose and fresh. Cheers!

Thank you! Very kind of you. I was never a teacher. Once I began teaching painting though I learned that I really love it. Thanks for watching!

You are a very good instructor and I have learnt a lot from your tips. I am in my late 60's and have started painting. My problem is I am slow in putting down paint and since I live in a very hot climate, my paper dries very quickly due to the fan. What should I do?

How can we connect with you to improve our art network? Some of my paintings are not recognized in our country. I want to try it on your side. I will make your art known in my country as well

1. What would be the right consistancy of paints during first wash, medium value wash and highlighting? 2. When to use wet in wet and wet in dry during first wash, medium value wash and highlighting?

Ok, so we've now heard the drum kit, but what about your name? Obviously, Matt White is a colour, so what are you really called? Time to come clean! (and don't tell me you have a brother called Gloss). 😊
