For anyone who is still having trouble with it not letting you delete/uninstall the riot games client, vanguard client, and whatever games you have for it… go to task manager and end the riot games client running in the back ground then delete everything. That worked for me because I tried literally every thing else before I did that. Should work for anyone having the same trouble I did.

Just exit the app at the bottom right corner before you try to delete, or it will appear in “use”. 1:50 minutes at the video he shows how to do it :)

I would recommend reinstalling riot client fully and them following steps which should enable you to full uninstall the riot client

thank you for this, the client was so invasive - if its still running on bottom left background tray, you can only close this by clicking exit with the app open (for me i wasnt signed in, so pressing exit with app closed just reopened it)

You can fix it by reinstalling Valorant and the included Riot Games launcher. For me, the issue was with the cache, but I couldn't resolve it using the method from the videos. Reinstalling and deleting it afterwards was the only solution.
