I just bought the ae-1 program. Love the damn thing. I'm an idiot though. I ripped through my first roll because i forgot to push the button at the bottom.

If you can still roll that film all the way back then I guess no. But it's more like a release button for the mechanism i think

It could be more helpful, if you show the number count towards the end, after completing the unloading. I didn't hear the click and the count down was at S, I exposed at least the firsts 8 photos

I tried to roll the film back into the canister but instead it all rolled out of it and ended up on the right side of camera

@@randycarrillo2802 it just happened to me. 😡 wasted a roll of Velvia 50. It was expired, but still upset.

@@randycarrillo2802 That generally means you've pulled too hard on the advance lever at the end of the roll and the film has separated from the spool. If if feels like there's more tension than normal after shooting pictures, don't open it. Take it to a photo lab or camera store and have them open it in the dark for you. That way you won't lose any shots.

@@Articulo77 I've not seen expired Velvia work out very well, but yeah, that can be super annoying. When it feels like it's hard to advance the film, stop advancing. I know that sounds obvious but you'd be surprised how many people bring their film in to the lab this way every day!

0:42 that lever is missing on my camera is there a way to still rewind it?

If the knob is still there you should be able to turn it. Make sure to turn it the same direction as in the video. If it's not there you might need to take it to your lab and have them take it out in the dark.

@@filmkip3437 there isn't really a knob just a little pin the knob with the lever fell off beceause it was almost fully unscrewed and I dint notice till it went missing. Thanks a lot anyway!! also great video

I think it's time to take it to the repair shop. I've seen that a few times on the AE-1, but I don't have a quick fix for ya.
