I need to admit, as much as I want Vanilla realms, cause I was a nost player, I need to give it to blizz for making Legion really feel like Vanilla 2.0. It has very similar grinds, characters, stories, dungeon and quest design, and a lot of hidden stuff, and still much more to be discovered really makes Legion feel nostalgic and awesome to me

Those big red buttons were used to destroy bombs in Vanilla, it was too hard otherwise. It's not a new feature. They've always had that purpose. The only new button is the scifi looking tiny one round the back they found.

It had nothing to do with what you did, it's a bug where after you've failed enough the bombs stop spawning. Also it should be fixed already, no one has actually come up with legit tactics for this fight (and shared at least).

They already did tho. Thermaplugg cannonically is technically dead (ripped in two, trapped beneath gnomeregan with a shit tone of troggs). I guess at this point they are just cleansing gnomeregan froms its radiation levels and trogg infestations really. Plus Legion doesn't help that much as both Mekkatorque and Overspark are busy with helping the Alliance.

my group did it a much more risky, but also a bit easier method. we had 2 warriors, a MW monk, a pally and a lock (myself). before the pull the pally popped an invis pot to stay out of combat from the bombs while the other three kited them. basically, I pulled the boss, let him cast three of his cone attacks, after which I would basically die, he'd run to my other group members and cast Static soon after. whichever one he targeted, they popped their spell reflect (they all spec'd specifically for it) and reflected the dot on the boss. at this point the bombs killed them all and the pally was out of invis, which is when he popped bubble and stayed alive for about 6-8 seconds until the dot killed the boss in like 4 ticks. hope this helps anyone looking for a way to do it!

Hayden Nichols its the mark of hidden Satyr neck enchant you can see other peoples proc. If you are seeing them with no one else around could just be a bug but that's the graphic for that neck enchant

This is why I think addons like DBM and public test realms have killed raiding. You no longer get the experience of learning and experiencing a brand new fight and the feeling of accomplishment when you figure out the strat and pull together as a team to down a boss. You said it yourself you really enjoyed learning and finally overcoming the challenge. Yet in todays age of raiding everybody just installs DBM and watches their UI to see what to do and when. If it wasn't for addons and public test then I'm pretty sure the mythic race would still be going on.

PTR is a necessary evil. It just isn't possible to fully test all bosses thoroughly enough to catch the majority of game breaking bugs with just their internal testing team. That is why bosses were very buggy in Vanilla and BC. Even today, blizzard doesn't test the final boss of raids on Mythic difficulty, and all top guilds say that these bosses are very buggy if they are some of the first people to get to them. Multiple top guilds have said that being the first to these bosses are basically beta testing them for everyone else. Now imagine Blizzard not testing ANY boss as oppose to a single boss, which they likely still but a lot of internal testing into to fix as many bugs as possible. That would mean the first weeks of raiding would not be fun at all, since most bosses would likely be broken to all hell, and no one would be able to progress. PTR allows for hundreds, if not thousands of tests in order for different, unique situations to pop up, to see if it will trigger some sort of obscure bug. In the end, allowing for a fairly smooth patch launch.

Tbh comparing mehcanics now to Vanilla, you obviously need PTR to just have a glimps of the various phases and tactics. While Vanilla was just a LFR (In terms of mechanics) massively overtuned, nowadays bosses have 3,4,5,6 mechanics that require you to learn about its tactics and how to do it, hence why PTR and DBM exist.

My group followed both the edited vid and the progression vid - It has since been reported that this fight has been hotfixed - KIlling a boss after you have wiped is CLEARLY an aboration and likely been hotfixed at the same time. - After 5 hrs - we still can't figure it out - ANY rekills / info as of 24hrs after this vid release will be greatly appreciated.

Hidden boss in Wotlk Violet Hold. After you down the final boss a legion portal will open from the Eredar cage and then a fellord will spawn. drops the hidden legion enchant which covers your weapon in fel energy. kappa

I let u know about the bombs. They are rng. No matter hwo u pish the buttons they are not working. U need to reset as many times as u want but there will be a random chance when no bombs spawn.
