This really does work. All he's doing is pressing down each one while rotating to look and feel for which number goes down the furthest pretty much. For the other method people say line up the front holes and rotate but for some that front gap is covered so this works

I think the default passcode for these are 000, if you want to set a new passcode hold down the lock with it in an open state and then just put in the new numbers

There is an easier method .. if you look from the side you can see a cut out below the number wheels. Once you have all the cutouts pointing at you turn each number 5 times towards the lock body and it will open
