It’s a shame that mid season characters are locked behind golden pass characters. Essentially it’s buy the golden pass or else you will miss out forever when it comes to future characters, missing out on one extra gatcha box, and not being able to complete the star up events weekly for epic crew shards. Even if you don’t like the character in the gold pass, too bad because you will need them if you want to play the game

Yeah, I was really disappointed like halfway through the video when I realized you needed vanellope… I thought locking him behind Oswald would’ve been enough

If you just started because you saw Kermit the only way to get him is with cash. Even then you can't get the other shards since you can't get Vanellope. Not saying Kermit should have been free. It should've been a way for players that are new to get him without paying. As to get more shards they will have to pay anyways.

@tctt185_dg I have Oswald, just not at Level 22. Mine's at level 19. I need to get him to Level 20 to upgrade him to a 2-star racer, and for that, I need one more shard (and yes, I have played as him in today's Daily Boost challenge). I do still have some tokens left, at least enough to buy five more Oswald shards, and I'm considering doing that tomorrow.

@@FlyingDuckMan360 We're sharing the same Oswald struggle (mine's also at 19, but with 1/3 Shards). Luckily, I spent enough money to get the last Kermit Shard I needed, but after getting Robin the Frog to Lv. 2, so my Kermit's gonna be a beast. Hope you get yours soon dude.

Dang. I have all the racers EXCEPT Oswald, giving me 9/10 Kermit shards. Maybe Gameloft will be nice and have a cheap Oswald box for the last 2 shards needed to unlock, then that will domino unlock Kermit.

Same situation!, I have 9/10 shards because I don't have Oswald for get the 10th one. And ironically completing the Kermit race on chapter 4th it gives you Oswald shards. Darn for be the "Lucky Rabbit", he has been very unlucky to me, lol!.

Honestly, iconic character with a sh tty and groundbreaking event that SURPRISE IS Pay to Win. He deserved SOOOO MUCH BETTER but well, Gameloft is gonna get poor for doing a good and fair event to obtain him ig. Rn, my only goal IS to unlock Aladdin on his All Star event. Even though I wanted Ariel, Aladdin IS an iconic character so I'm looking forward to unlock him in both of my PlayStation 4 and Steam accounts. Great Video Sky btw, kudos for unlocking THEE FROG! 🎉

I know most are upset about oswald, but for me its that level 32 at the end. How in the world are you expected to be 32 without the aid of dual wielding visas? Like honestly, the time trial ends AFTER this one so you cant even use those shards. Thats what bothers me the most not the fact you need vanelle and oswald.

Same since Oswald is an Epic driver his shards are extremely limited in the daily store for now, this is such a rip off for players that come in late into this game.

To bad i decided to save the golden pass token for future seasons. And by how things have been, the new mid season characters will for sure need kermit now... I guess im gonna wait 1 year until they release an event that actually gives shards (instead of pretending to give) for eve and kermit... Is really sad because the art deparment of thus game is great, i just wish i could actually experience their hard work and not be blocked by the corporate guys.

I gotta say as an essentially beta tester, playing this game for free on PS5 in early 2023, and waiting for this game to be quote-unqoute-free to play until I realized it was a nasty example of pay to win scam, I've been healthily grinding for the past year and I watch your channel and am up to date with upcoming content... I logged in this evening and discovered like many others that in order to unlock Kermit you had to have Oswald, who like Wall-E and EVE, you basically had to spend money to get them Tonight, I spent 10 bucks to get Oswald in a game I want to enjoy with spending 0 more dollars. It was sad and I hope to hell that season passes will be obtainable through the premium in game earn-able credits and that Nightmare Befiore Christmas season racers won't be locked though pay walls. Thanks for the incredibly long rant, Skyliner. Keep up the good work.

I got nine out of the ten shards I need to unlock Kermit, thanks to playing the "It's Not Easy Being Green" event. To get the last shard, I need to win a race as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and to do that, I need to upgrade him to a 2-star racer. I am one shard away from being able to do that, and that includes me having played today's Daily Boost challenge as him. I did dip into the Green Connection star box twice, and managed to unlock Rowlf and Sweetums as Kermit's crew members. I do still have some tokens left and am considering using them to buy the last Oswald shards I need to upgrade Oswald and win the last shard I need to unlock Kermit.

He is funny especially his slow turn head animation during standby. If you want to go for thr 10k token vid, go ahead cause technically if you look again, the least amount of shards you get each is 4 shards while Kermit is 5 shards lowest too. So even though 500 is that way, its actually a bit more worth it to finish up thr crew members. Even though the rest are not gonna make a difference plus the Epic be something fot Kermit too

Is any more of these muppets? Like Foofoo the dog, Camila the chicken, Dr. Teeth, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot, Slatler and Wardorf, Pepe the king prawn, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, Swedish Chef, Walter, Lew, 80's Robot and Rizzo the mouse are as new crew members. Miss Piggy is coming out soon. And not even Fozzie, Gonzo and Animal as racers

I had 300 tokens and I wanted to buy Season tour support box I, hoping to unlock Oswald (or at least get 5 shards) and then later unlock Kermit the frog. Surprisingly I got 20 shards of Jack Sparrow!! 20 shards from a single support box! I'm not complaining but I'm sad that I can't unlock Oswald nor Kermit the frog.. Now it's hard to get 300 tokens without spending money 😢

For me it’s the opposite. I’m glad it was vanellope instead of calhoun. This pass doesn’t really give you as much value. Paying for a pass just to get ONE racer ain’t it. Also, I’m a free to play, so getting around is tough nowadays.
