hello, i recently got the Galaxy S5 from my brother and it's from T-Mobile but i want to transfer it to Metro PCS. What i did since i have a Metro PCS Galaxy s3 i put that sim card in the S5 and when i got my code in the email i turned on my phone and entered the code, it said successful and it took a while untill the bars come up but i didnt see the service provider it just kept saying seaching. I took the simcard out then put it back in and powered it on and i stopped seeing bars after the first time i entered the code. Im wondering probably because it's not a "new sim card" i dont know. Only suggestions i would give is that i wish you guys would give like a timer or something instead of saying just "processing". Maybe a waiting list that tells you where you are? AT&T devices will not work with Verizon's network. Unlocking the phone does not wipe your data.

LaTasha Daniel Hi there, Please make sure to put in a non-accepted sim card. Keep in mind, the "incorrect" sim card must be from a different company. For example T-Mobile and MetroPCS are different carriers, but they are the same company, so it won't count as an "incorrect" sim.

nickhopps911 If you already put in an incorrect sim card and it doesn't ask for the code, then the phone should already be unlocked. Keep in mind, the "incorrect" sim card must be from a different company. For example T-Mobile and MetroPCS are different carriers, but they are the same company, so it won't count as an "incorrect" sim.
