Reset your SPA-2102 to factory default settings
1. Reset your SPA-2102 to factory default settings
If you purchase a second hand SPA-2102 or one that has been setup to work with a particular carrier then the safest bet is to reset the settings to the factory defaults so that you start with a clean slate and can be sure that some previously entered setting is not causing you a problem. To reset the SPA-2102 to factory defaults follow these steps:
Plug in power adapter
Plug in a phone to 'Phone 1′ port of the SPA-2102
Dial ****
You should hear 'Configuration Option Menu'
Dial 73738# (RESET#)
Press 1 to confirm the reset
The SPA-2102 should now have been reset to factory default settings.
You may need to do the following to set up web management depending on which interface you are coming in on:
Dial **** into the phone connected to the ATA device
You should hear 'Configuration Option Menu'
Dial 7932 then press 1 to enable.
Hang up when you hear option saved.
2. Get access to your SPA-2102 web interface
Plug in Ethernet cable to router and wait for several seconds
Dial ****110#
Listen to IP Address which is read back to you
Plug your PC into the LAN (Ethernet) port of the SPA-2102
Enter IP Address into your web browser (For example. 192.168.1.10)
You shoud now see the Linksys SPA-2102 Web Interface
3. Upgrade firmware (optional)
Your SPA-2102 may work well on it's current firmware, but it is always a good idea to upgrade the firmware on your SPA-2102 to ensure that you are running the latest recommended firmware on it. Upgrading the firmware is relatively easy with the SPA-2102.
Visit www.linksys.co.nz
Click on Downloads
Select VoIP Routers from drop down menu under the VoIP category
Select SPA-2102 from the drop down menu under the picture that looks like your SPA-2102 (centre, middle)
Select Version 1.0
Click on firmware to download the Firmware ZIP file (e.g. SPA-2102-5-2-5.ZIP)
Open the ZIP file in a ZIP utility such as WinZip

FYI this device is getting pretty old an alternative that you can get to use with your Google Voice is called an Obihai. The downside is they are ending support for this in late 2023. Not sure if the device will continue to work with Google Voice or not so if you get an Obihai make sure you don't pay much for it. More info here www.obitalk.com/info/googlevoice

Yep, same problem here. 73738# asks for a password. Without a factory reset and access to the profile settings, this thing is a brick.

Question : when i Dial 73738# the unit prompts me for a password. Any chance you know what that is or how I can bypass it?

This resets the device but I still do not the configuration menus such as provisioning etc...

Ok i got in. Seems you have to have an internet connect so that i will get and IP address to configure it's on GATEWAY address. This device has DHCP and NAT built in.

+Aaron Garcia It is a telephone adapter. Once unlocked any VOIP provider you can use it. It would be considered a BOYD so any provider that you can bring your own device and can update SIP information with your provider's information.

It the above pass does not work, go in through the IVR and configure the IP, Subnet, and Gateway to your LAN. They all must be done in the same session to stick. When finished, hang up, wait for reboot, then check IP through the IVR, disconnect phone, then connect to your LAN (blue port) and let it provision. 5-10 min. The above # worked for me afterwards, and I successfully flashed firmware. I didn't get prompted for a password after i put in 73738# then i hit 1, and then i heard a sound. I unplugged unit for about 10min. Went to step 2 to find out what IP address it had. it came back with IP of 0.0.0.0

To clarify. I have found two different ClearWire SPA2102 boxes. Some are Spa2102-SF. These are NOT locked and all you need to do is go in and turn "Provision Enable NO" under Provisioning. But I have today found SPA2102-R that are locked (R as in Restricted) SIGH!

I take it back. They WERE locked. But after going in from the WAN side and / or doing a 7932 I was able to see the ADMIN LOGIN and turn provisioning off.

I was able to reset the device using Pete Kaloudis password below (41046040033). Upgraded the firmware to 5.2.13 I removed the profile rule entry (pointing to the defunct company) and disabled the Voice->Provisioning->Provision Enable and ->Resync on Reset Device is now unlocked and working with any ITSP or your own VoIP server.
