That's cool!! My jaw is dropping to the person who found this method. However, I also have my own method, and really work. Follow this 1. Your screen mustn't have any digimon 2. Put dim card inside slowly but not fully (likely put it inside the socket just a half way or adjust the dim until the waiting is on the screen, maybe a lot of failed) And you can do this many times as you want

This doesn't actually work to prevent a lock from being written, because the firmware double checks everything when it comes to binding. You might get lucky and time your disconnects just right so it reads all 0xff for both times it reads the lock page so it doesn't see a lock, but the code will not continue to load the Dim unless it can see that it successfully wrote the new lock page.

There are currently no plans for a specifically American Vital Bracelet, the ones being sold to Americans are just the Japanese models, so any DiM card will absolutely work with them.

If sharing between two models of the original Vital Bracelet, you would need to do this method every time you wish to insert the DiM on the other device.

Whelp. Still stuck at getting into firmware screen due to...no sound indicator, cause the solder isn't stick onto the speaker anymore, resolder and doesn't even have voice hmmm. Anyway, I noticed when turn on while pressing A+B, the screen lights up for about 2 sec, and pressing B 4x as fast as I could doesn't bring to the firmware screen.

I might have missed it, but I'm guessing this isn't locked down with the Vital Hero bracelets? I have 3x Vital Heroes which came with the Wolf Howl, Dino Roar, and Pulse City DIM cards. Tested the Dino Roar DIM card on all 3 Vital Heroes and it loaded an egg for each without any hassle.

Luckily you won’t need this anymore with the digivice V coming out since can be used by up to three digivice Vs (or two if you already used the dim on an original VB)

I'm not sure if it's related but, after doing your steps and I reached the final screen to insert the DiM, mine said it failed so I assumed this technique couldn't work with mine but then after a few minutes I tried inserting it over and over again (lol) and by the third try it could read my DiM again XD

If you're talking about the VS Memory, that's not really bound to a specific VB. (It is bound only when a Digimon has been copied to it, and only for the purpose of identifying whether the Digimon was from your device or a different device. You can reuse it on any VB once your original Digimon has been moved back.)

I may have to try this. My Digivice V for some reason won't read my Angoramon DIM that I've had since release. It goes through the entire waiting screen, then just says failed. And that's the only DIM card it does it with.

It's a hardware test. Its goal is not resetting a Dim, but to test whether read/write to the Dim works. Reset is just a side effect because that's the only area it can write to safely.

@@StarchaserXFER There's a few things: - Version (along with debug pins state and battery voltage) - Software test (ROM checksum, sound check, miles (screen on and off), heart rate, Dim checksum) - Hardware test (Buttons, LCD, backlight, sleep/deep sleep, battery voltage, max current, charger, Dim read/write, flash read/write, flash checksum, NFC EEPROM read/write, NFC field detect and phone read/write, a number of heart rate sensor sensitivity tests, and accelerometer) - Dim viewer (sprite viewer, and all data except adventure missions) In firmware but not directly accessible: - DB editor, lets you edit some of your gameplay stats - Accelerometer data export, collects accelerometer readings and writes it to a Dim

1. You'll have to unlock again. Each Dim can only be tied to one VBDM at a time. 2. It does not. Each Dim of the same kind has identical data out of the factory. The app doesn't know anything about a physical Dim.

A vital bracelet can only be linked to one app at a time, so it's not possible to send a Digimon from one app to another.

Nothing about this process will damage the DiM card, and it will not affect evolutions. If you wish to use the DiM with multiple devices, you will need to repeat this process every time you plug it in to the other device, only one device can be registered at a time. There is no way to de-evolve a Digimon, but you can raise a new one by inserting the DiM again.

My Digidevice V got completely destroyed after falling to the ground. Now I don't know what to do because I have several dim cards that I used with the broken device. I assumed that if buy a new Device V these methods wouldn't work? Thanks the help.

The first batch of Digivice -V- will work with these methods, but if you buy a new one now it likely won't be in that batch, and can't be used to reset DiM cards. However, you can reuse DiM cards with up to three Digivice -V- units, so you shouldn't need to reset them if you have only used them once.

I had some info I want to share on the durability of the device. I might have just gotten lucky but the vb may be slightly more waterproof than is implied. My bracelet got caught on a door and flew right into the tub I was filling up for my son. I quickly freaked out and pulled it out (it was completely submerged) for maybe 5 seconds before I grabbed it. Quickly shut it off and let it sit for a few days. Opened it up for better airflow and to help drying a bit and voila! Still works perfectly (for now anyway lol) Random question tho: This was my first run through and my Boutmon should have evolved into Kazuchimon. I had all the prereq's with 6 minutes remaining (his mental was bad so maybe that's why?) but he didn't evolve at all and his timer reset. Any ideas as to why?

To be sure, did you have enough trophies as Boutmon alone? The app shows total trophies, but the watch itself shows the current number of trophies, which is the one to look at for evolution.

They would not, the Digivice -V- does only locks you out of using a DiM if it has been used with more than three total devices

The injuries reset ever day, but I am not certain whether the reset upon evolution. On most other V-Pets they do, so I would assume they do here as well.

This means that your device isn't able to do this method, and if it was brand new you probably wouldn't need to anyway. You should try physically holding the dim card in while it's loading just in case it's a loose connection.

The device is mostly in English but uses Japanese for some things. An English version of the app is being released later this year.

The black or white versions retail for $65 and the yellow ver Special is $75 and is the only way to get the Ancient Warriors/Veemon DiM.
