Number one trick for improving your vision is you have to practice with the ball enough that all you need is your peripheral vision to dribble. If you have to focus on your feet to keep control, you won't be able to look up. Also, you can't think about how to dribble. That has to be muscle memory. You have to be thinking about what the other players are doing. Same thing. He kind of implied it with his "practice every day".

Well, It depends on the style of play. I dribble with my head down (looking at the ball and at the defender's feet) and use my peripheral vision to scan my surroundings. When I'm focused on the defender's feet and on the ball, It seems easier to understand his momentum and his movements. It's just a thing that I've been doing naturally since I was a kid and I can only play that way. I just feel like I'm very self-aware of that and I'm always focused on my peripheral vision. Really hard to explain. I've seen a lot of players do It and be quite good at It.

Number one trick... Is actually HAVING good eye sight and decently high IQ. Because if you have BAD eye sight or just not that smart, a different position and vision correction is a MUST

Amazing video. This is what I did as a kid and I was a very good dribbler.. but it's frowned on these days in coaching circles because there's no fancy moves involved, the cones aren't moving, there are lines, etc.
