1. Picking your head up: look and focus at the ball as you strike the ball then you can look up. 2. Shooting too hard: focus on accuracy and less power rather than too much power and no accuracy. 3. Aiming for the top corner: aim for the bottom half of the goal as the ball rises itll naturally fly to the top corner. 4. Using the wrong techniques: there are many ways you can shoot know the strength and weaknesses of the techniques you learned. 5. Notice the keepers movements: if keeper is at near finish at far post, if hes moving to a direction finish the opposite way hes going. 6. Do not stutter step: it slows momentum losing power to the shot & it takes longer for you to shoot. 7. Shooting off balance: either shoot or keep possession. Initiate the bump to the defender first. 8. Picking the wrong time to shoot: Know when to shoot and when to pass to a open teammate. Bonus tip: Compensate for the scenarios you're in and you're own skill set.

So your tips are Head down, precision over power, place it not just lace it, etc... The one thing I would say you missed out on is your body position. If you look at that Balotelli back heal you will note the ball travelled in the direction his shoulders were facing which was wide of the goal. So get your shoulders square to the goal. Secondly, you don't have to look down when shooting, but you do have to have your head over the ball rather than leaning your shoulders back, which allows you to sight your target area. And as an extension to one of your tips, always look at the gap between the goalkeeper and the posts. I see a lot of saves made because the ball is hammered straight at the keeper. I made a deal with my players that if they tried to pass the ball to an imaginary player in the goal three times, they could blaze away with shot number four. It worked and our strike rate went up.

the keeper movement and positioning is by far the most key when selecting your shot. keepers position themselves using defenders to block parts of the goal so shooting through or around that defender is what checkmates the goalie, just like when 1 on 1 you aim between his legs. what best players do is mind where they place their anchor leg. in those situations newbies use the stutter step you mentioned because their anchor leg is either in front or behind the ball leading them to mess up. great players are great because their footwork is so great, we're not talking fancy skills or anything they just move so well and calculated they can do anything at any time and make it count. what we see on tv is players having performed loads and loads of boring training

When i am running with the ball, should i first scan the field or just blindly shoot?
@KreiderAcademy4 ай бұрын
100% you should scan the field. Scanning before you shoot will help you determine several things. Firstly, should you even shoot? Do you have a good angle of goal or are there a group of defenders in the way? If a defender is closing you down, can you wrap your shot around him and still get your shot on target? Let’s say there’s a shooting lane. Where’s the keepers positioning? Is he positioned well or is he out of position, leaving one side of the goal open to score? And finally scanning will inform you where you are in reference to the goal. This is important for making sure your shot is accurate. For example, without looking you may pull your shot wide because you thought you were wider on the field that you really were. You should look up, scan, then put your head down and focus on striking the ball properly. Then after your shot comes off you can pick your head up. I hope this helps😁🙌🏼

Look at the ball. And look at the very specific part you want to hit. It’s called the “quiet eye”. It’s a scientific phenomena that shows that those with better aim at almost every sport spend more time looking at the thing they are trying to make contact with. It even works on something slow like putting a golf ball. It works in fast things too like hitting a baseball.

Bro i always try to focus and look at the ball but i forget it while shooting even in trainings. Can you help me?
@KreiderAcademy4 ай бұрын
Of course! It’s your instinct to look up since we all want to see ourselves score.. I still struggle with this sometimes. You have to build the habit of focusing on the ball and striking it properly, keeping your eye on it has your foot hits it. The best way to build this habit is by getting lots of shooting reps where you’re being intentional about focusing on the ball. Focus on this and you’ll notice your accuracy improve! Now I’ve done this for years and I still struggle with it from time to time. This is what I do when it happens. Let’s say you’re in training and you’ve taken a couple shots at training are you’re upset because they aren’t as accurate as normal. This moment, right here should trigger this thought process. “Why? Next time let me keep my eye on the ball and focus on making good contact.” 9 times out of 10, my next shot is very good. But you need to make sure that you continue to do this and you don’t get excited and look up too early again next time. I hope this helps😁🫶🏼🫶🏼In summary, just get lots of intentional reps on your own. And when you notice your shooting is not to standard, reset your focus and watch your accuracy improve!

From my experience speed is the key. You could have the best technique but it won't matter if the defender is fast enough. On the other hand, if you're the speedster, it's much easier to lose the defender.
@KreiderAcademy6 ай бұрын
@@michamarkowski2204 I agree, but not to that extent. I’ve played some brilliant players that destroy players 1v1 and they weren’t fast. They were very elusive and had fantastic ball control. However, speed is absolutely a crucial component. Beating defenders 1v1 is significantly easier if you’re faster than them. Many players get to very high levels by simply pushing the ball and out running players. I do agree with you. I just believe if you do have great technique you can be successful 1v1 too! It’s just much more difficult 😁🫶🏼
@michamarkowski22046 ай бұрын
@@KreiderAcademy yes, but winning a 1v1 is meaningless if 3-5 seconds later the same player is in front of you. In futsal technique is the key, but in football speed matters more in 1v1 situations. Of course it's great to have both.
@KreiderAcademy6 ай бұрын
@@michamarkowski2204 absolutely! And that’s just when intelligence becomes important. If you’re trying to beat a faster defender at midfield you should just pass since they’ll be able to recover. I mean see how effective defenders like Kyle Walker and Wan Bissaka are when going 1v1 because of their pace. If you’re a slower player you just got to create that little bit of space and release the ball or else it’s meaningless like you said!

@KreiderAcademy7 ай бұрын
At least you’re aware of the problem! Thats the first part to fixing it😁 Here’s what I’d do to work on my timing. The more reps and shots you take, the more comfortable and confident you’ll get without doing a stutter step. Do this drill 3-4 times a week. Roll a ball out in front of you a few yards and shoot. Then your next rep, dribble 5 yards and then shoot. Your shots will likely be better when you’re just taking a shot rather than when you’re dribbling beforehand. When you score a good shot, your goal should be to recreate the same was it felt as you’re running up to the ball and shooting. Let me know if this makes sense since it’s a little difficult to describe throw a comment. Try this out for a month or so and let me know how you progress😁 hope this helps🫶🏼🫶🏼
@michamarkowski22046 ай бұрын
Don't overthink it. The more shots you make the more naturally it comes to make the shot. You don't stutter with passes, right? They are like shots. They also have to be accurate, not too weak and not too strong, sometimes with a spin or with a chip. Think of a shot as a pass to the goal.

I told my players that when they hit the ball hard, the ball would rise naturally unless they intentionally keep the ball low, therefore don't try to send the ball high in the very first place. And, during practice, try to keep the ball flying flat, as it only gets worse under game pressure. Also, hit the ball quick, the habit of following through too much only makes the ball flying 3 stories high. In the game situation, they would do a bit too much, therefore during practice, be precise and leave enough room for game pressure.
@KreiderAcademy2 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Fantastic advice👏🏼👏🏼 Once I understood things like aiming low since the ball naturally rises, my ability to hit target improved drastically! Like you said, the pressure of games also makes a huge difference. The players who can stay calm or even thrive off of it are the ones who get better results! Thank you for your comment😁🙌🏼

@@KreiderAcademy Great. Also, for fast moving, hit off cross, skipping ball situations, I emphasize on quick hit from fast lower leg swing, knock the ball off the feet, doesn't allow any follow through , knuckle ball. The correct hitting spot on the ball is only good for a split second. For that split second, foot to ball touch is good, but not after a bit follow through. Because I work with goalkeepers, drop kick shot is common practice, quick hit after the ball hits the ground, hit when the ball is bounced off ground right away. I also have my field players doing this, hit the bouncing ball and keep them under cross bar. If they have a big folding back of lower legs, it should be done by the time they plant the standing feet. Or, in tight situations, they should hit without a full folding back, or compensate it by sent the knee forward and up. Either way, it is all about generating enough swing speed, largely from the lower leg swing.

@@Qian1980 absolutely! Fantastic information again! It’s definitely hard for keepers when you shoot with short wind ups or short follow throughs since they are used to having those visual cues before shots come off. Even something like a quick toe poke can catch them off guard! Thank you for sharing😁🙌🏼

Two of the greatest defenders to ever play! But the low cross is still very dangerous and hard to deal with! In fact, Thiago Silva actually scored an own goal off of one against Monaco in 2014! Even the best players can make mistakes😁

@@Supergamerz-h8b they both are amazing goalscorers obviously but I was focusing on the next generation of players when I was giving examples in this video. And although Messi has scored TONS of goals in his career, I’d never describe him as a goalscorer. He’s so much more than that. Amazing at everything and that goes for Ronaldo too. While Haaland and Kane are also exceptional in other areas, I’d describe them specifically as goal scorers since they aren’t as well-rounded as Messi and Ronaldo in their primes. I hope that makes sense😁👍🏼

Thx this video could bring me use for the future but I’m mid injury can you please create a video on what to do mid injury and post injury, I am currently suffering from ankle injury that takes 4 to 6 weeks to recover can you also add tips on how to recover faster
@KreiderAcademy8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I won’t be able to create and get a video out in time to help you on that subject, but I can give you some tips here. Firstly do what you can while you’re injured. You obviously can’t run or train on a hurt ankle but you could lift weights upper body and train your core. Try to keep the other areas of your body as fit as possible. This isn’t just training though. Do what you can by watching pro games and analyzing the players playing your positions. This is a great way to improve your soccer IQ. Learn tactical guidance and tips by watching videos on KZbin, etc. As you’re recovering and starting to train more, make sure you’re paying attention to your body. If you go from 0% to 100% right away you’re raising the risk of injury. Gradually build yourself up, you don’t want to set yourself back further or reaggravate it. Another thing to be aware of: One injury commonly leads to another injury in a different spot. For example, you hurt your ankle, you are at risk of injuring your hips when you come back. That’s because everything is connected. If you compensate for your bad ankle, trying to take load off it when you’re training, you’re adding strain to other parts of your body and that can lead to injuries at those parts. I hope that makes sense. So make sure that you gradually ramp up your training over time, and if something is bothering your ankle then stop. Don’t try to push through or compensate for it because that can lead to set backs or other injuries. I hope this helps🫶🏼🫶🏼

Do you think shooting with the inside of your foot is a bad habbit? I find it difficult to shoot with anything else.
@KreiderAcademy4 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t describe it as a bad habit… It’s just like every other shooting technique. It has its strengths and weaknesses. When placing shots, using the inside of your foot is more reliable… but you sacrifice the power of using your laces. The key is improving your decision making on when to use the inside of your foot versus your laces. Here’s a general rule of thumb. If you’re outside the box you probably should use your laces. This is because you need more shot power to score from range. If you’re inside the box you probably can use the inside of your foot. This is because you don’t need as much power, you want to place your shots. So, if you’re only shooting with the inside of your foot that is an issue. I recommend spending time on your own improving your shooting technique with your laces so you feel more confident and comfortable striking the ball with your laces. I hope this helps😁🫶🏼

Bro pls make a detailed video on the perfect way to master stepovers
@KreiderAcademy7 ай бұрын
Hey bro I don’t think I’ll be able to make a video on it for a while so here’s some tips to get your started😁 Practice practice practice. If you want to master the step overs work on them every day for a couple of months. Consistent training is the key! Here’s how I master any skill moves I use: 1. Practice at a walking pace. Just start slowly dribbling and practice throwing the scissors around the ball. Once you can do this with no mistakes consistently, move on to #2 2. Practice in open space. Just dribble around your field or yard and every few steps throw the skill move. Start off by going slow, but as you get better try using the scissors at full speed dribbling like you would in games. 3. Now add defenders (cones). Dribble up to the cone and practice your scissors at cones. Since you already have the basics mastered, this shouldn’t be too difficult. This will help you master the timing of your scissors. Throw them too early, and the defender will read the move. Throw them too late, and you’ll hit the cone. 4. Practice them by going 1v1 with friends! This is the safe place to practice them before you go into games where it matters! This will help you master the timing against a real defender as well as force you to build good habits like bursting away from the defender after doing the move. 5. Once you’re consistently beating your friend 1v1 with the move, use the scissors in games! I hope this helps😁🫶🏼
