I went to Goodwill the day after I watched this and found a tree for $10.70 and I've been trimming and cuttings the leaves today. I had a blast and tomorrow I will ge the seaglass enamel to finish it-it already looks terrific! Thanks so much for your inspiring video. I'm super excited about the outcome!!

I found your video when looking for a way to update the faux tree I have in my office, that has the same outdated look. It was given to me, and I'd love to make it look more modern. I loooove how you transformed this tree and I can't wait to do it myself!

If you like trees you should try what I have done to create my own incredibly inexpensive trees .... The first one I did was just blossoms for spring that I pulled off some beautiful faux spring branches. I then glued each blossom to a large branch my neighbors had pruned this spring and potted the branch. For summer I did something similar and created a lemon tree. I made a fall apple tree and plan to make a red berry tree for winter. They're easy, and really inexpensive because I have a great neighborhood where someone is always cutting off good size limbs with lots of off shoot branches to work with. Love your remake! I have stayed away from ficus for just that reason - dated - but that was a wonderful idea and looks amazing! Blessings!

If the trees are in a good condition and at a good price, I buy them and take them apart, and used the leaves when I make door wreaths. Just another use for them. Thanks for sharing.
