How to Update Apps on Vizio Smart TV

my remote doesn't have yellow button and when i go into System Settings "Check for Updates" isn't listed

My check for updates is in the admin & privacy menu. But I don't have a yellow button either

My check for updates is listed under admin&privacy, however it’s telling me everything is up to date however, My Hulu still won’t work.

Hello my friends! I went through a similar situation where our hulu stopped working and all I had to do to get everything working again was simple. You have to do a reset and power cycle. Reset meaning turn off your TV with your remote then unplug your power cord directly from the back of your Television set! Now that your TV has no power wait about 30 seconds and locate your power button on your Television set! Every TV is different on my vizio smart TV my power button is on the lower right side. Now once you have located that power button press and hold that button down for 30 seconds! Basically what this is doing is shutting everything down while draining any residual energy out of the Television! Also causes the tv to force close all the processes/ apps that are running in the background at the time! Sometimes this will force stubborn updates that are stuck in the background through... Its hard to describe without getting too nerdy 🤓 . Hope this helps you all! I know this has saved me two times now!
