KYC sirf CDSL karta hai kya ? You are making a video but do not cover up the different KYC registering entities. What about Karvy and Cams registered KYCs ?

I was doing online e-KYC through Mirae Asset and faced a time out error during the Take photo stage. Now, they did not give me any Reference number because of which I cannot resume application. What to do in this case? How to obtain reference number? I have mailed both CVL and Mirae. No reply.

I didnt faced any problem. please check the status from cvl and then reapply from others like cams...or any other mf websites

@@niveshhindi Thank you for replying. Appreciate it. KYC status was showing as Not Available for all KRAs. So I redid the KYC through the Groww app. One doubt I had is about the signature. In the groww app, I was asked to sign on the screen and the signature did not turn out great because it is hard signing on a touch screen. Can we get the signature updated later and how can it be done?

You cannot directly update your name in NDML KRA. The process involves your intermediary (broker, mutual fund house, etc.) working with KRA. Here's what you can do: Contact Your Intermediary: Inform your intermediary (the platform where your KYC is on hold) about the name mismatch. They can access your KYC details and initiate the correction process with NDML KRA. Ensure Documents Match: Double-check that your PAN card name matches the name you used while registering with the intermediary. Any discrepancies there will cause issues. Documents for Update: You might need to provide documents to support the name change. This could include: A copy of your PAN card A copy of a government-issued ID with your correct name (Passport, Voter ID, Aadhaar card) A document proving the name change, if applicable (marriage certificate, gazette notification) Intermediary Takes Action: Your intermediary will upload the documents and request a KYC modification with NDML KRA. They'll handle the communication with KRA. NDML KRA Verification: NDML KRA will verify the documents and check with the ITD data. Status Update: Once verified, your KYC status will be updated to "Registered" or "Validated" (depending on the verification method).

Good question. See without aadhar card not possible to get validated status as far as the current rule says even for nri also. Lets see if they can update further. Now as an nri what can be done is to get kyc registered status using passport as ovd. In this case you can still do transactions in your existing mf. But for new mf you have to do re kyc every time. See nri feel many problems like some don't have their indian no registered with mutual fund amc so how can aadhar otp be verified. So wait for some more clarification and get kyc registered staus soon. Thanks for your comments

“IPV” ka matlab In-Person Verification hota hai. Ye ek zaroori step hai jismein aapko apne documents ko physically verify karwana padta hai. Is process mein, aapko apne original ID aur address proof lekar mutual fund house ya distributor ke representative se milna hota hai. Aaj kal, ye verification video call ke zariye bhi kiya ja sakta hai.
