Still works in 2023, I remember seeing this Sony official driver being available a few years back but took me a while to find it when I get back to play Ace Combat 7 recently. The only thing is that the vibration doesn't appear to be working even when I turn it on in AC7 (used to be working with SCP), or maybe it's an issue with my controller getting old... Still, generally easier to use, no need to turn it on before games like SCP, just plug the controller in and Steam will instantly recognize it.

It must be a problem with the driver because I used to play games in my linux PC and the vibration worked perfectly, but not with these drivers. Anyway, I think its better to use a Sony's official driver than SPC or MotionJoy drivers, at least on Windows

Thanks a lot man, I was having problems with SCPToolKit because it made the DualShock 3 be recognized as an Xbox 360 controller every time (making it impossible for me to use the motion sensor or gyro aiming), it was a hassle to uninstall the SCP and after I did this, the DualShock 3 was no longer recognized by the PC, I was looking for the official Sony drivers and they were very difficult to find.

You can actually delete psnow after you’ve setup the drivers. The ps3 controller drivers should be still on your computer.

I'm sorry but I need to ask. Something didn't work for me. I did every step shown in the video but when it came to installing the drivers my pc had different settings like, instead of your "USB input device" under the HID-compliant game controller tab, mine just says "wireless controller for PS3". So I tried to click on it and install the drivers on it like u did in your video and when I go to update the drivers I click on the other "wireless controller for PS3" tab (without the exact name, I guess?) it doesn't even make me restart my pc at the end of the process, so no driver got installed. try reinstalling the drivers again or If you own a desktop you can try plugging it in through back usb port of your pc because sometimes gamepads doesn’t get recognized on the front usb port.

@@starboy_69 i bought a data charging cable and now i can see my controller on the Devices. I can directly use my controller with that cable after right-clicking on the controller and configure its settings. But i haven't try doing any installations of drivers or SDP Toolkit

To uninstall official Sony drivers you'll need to use Driver Store Explorer or a new tool called Legacinator (legacy terminator) written by the author of the deprecated software SCPTOOLKIT and the new recommended software DSHIDMINI.
