How to update RLINK on your Renault ?

When I put in my VIN it said I don't need an update (Zoe registered end of January). Would it already have been done by the dealer or manufacturer?

Phoenix. I also had message no need for update on my VIN for 2 year old Captur. But then I checked version on car by selecting menu-system-status-version and it wasn't 11.344.. in application line. If your version is - that's fine but if earlier version - join the clan of those struggling to up-date. I got there finally after several attempts. Renault video is useless!

I've followed all of these instructions but when I put the USB in my car nothing came up (it recognised the USB but not the update). I tried to look around in the settings to see if I could find a reason why and it said that the network status was disconnected? I'm not sure this makes a difference but in my car, I can't click on the navigation, go into the navigation settings or click on the r-link store.

Lucia. I suspect your usb stick has another file in addition to tomtom.000 or you have not unzipped correctly. My unzipped tomtom.000 was 468,184KB size. Hope this helps.

Hello Jiron, we are sorry for this issue. As soon as you see the TomTom logo, you must: - Turn off the engine of your vehicle - Close your vehicle - Leave your vehicle a couple of minutes (around 20/30 minutes) Then, you can go back to your vehicle, your system will be updated.

@@jeziron I have to fully agree here. Since my ZOE had some problems in the past I though that the update broke something. And since this TomTom logo beeing stuck in a loop took longer than the part of the update before (where you saw a progression bar) it is at least worth a short note.

Hello, you can do the update while driving, just make sure the engine is running for 20 minutes, but yeah for the environment it's best to do it while you drive to get somewhere. Thanks.

Aha! I tried doing it sitting in my car on the drive, good to know I can drive at the same time without problems. I didn't see a confirmation/success message though. The yellow progress line completed, it reloaded TomTom and went back to the usual screen. But then said software updates were available. I assume/hope it was because the USB was still in. Renault don't realise that not everyone has a computer. Even the helpline is a wesite. Eventually got through to a human who promised to sort it out and ring me back but never did. This is the last Renault I will buy.

Services app was switched from its own browser to being a URL, this suggests a security beach in general terms. That could be believable especially in the face of the way that Nissan also had a security beach via the poor implementation of it's own electric vehicle app which revealed private data about the cars.

Hello Roberto, your USB must be empty and formatted in FAT32. Make sure that the file is unzipped before integrating it into your USB.

You do need some computer knowledge. Video could have been slower and more detailed. I had to run it twice to be certain. However install process was straight forward.
