How To - Update Unifi Controller on Raspberry Pi | 2021

Learn how to update your Ubiquiti Unifi controller installed on your Raspberry Pi. If you have installed the Linux version of the Unfi controller for your Unifi gear then you will have found out it does not automatically update the Unifi controller software. This video will show you how to complete the update using the command prompt in windows (or Mac) and I also show what not to do and several mistakes beginners tend to make. What is UI in Unify that you are using? Mine doesn't show that much info, what you have on screen. And did you have an video about backup?

For Roaming should the Controller Run all the time?

Do you mean roaming from AP to AP on your local network or accessing the controller remotely of site ?

Once you have the Unifi network setup then the controller does not need to be on. Obviously nothing will update and no running data will be collected about your network if you have no live controller.
