How to Update your PTZOptics MOVE 4K Camera Firmware (4K)

Hello! I really need your help because I am facing issue with the Ethernet cable. The camera does not react when I plug the internet connection. How to fix it? Are there another way to update the camera with the pc or Mac ?

If you can't get power or control of your camera after plugging it in with a ethernet cable. You might need a PoE Switch. You need to investigate the switch. Please make sure you are connecting the camera to a PoE+ network switch. Once the camera is properly powered it will perform a self test. Once finished, the Standby LED will no longer glow and the camera will be ready for use. If your camera isn't behaving in this way, please submit a ticket or give us a call! community.ptzoptics.com/s/

Is there 4k output on the sdi of the30x model?

Our Move 4K cameras offer 3G-SDI, which allows resolution up to 1080p60. While 12G-SDI would allow up to 4K, we chose not to offer it because of how much it would raise the cost of our cameras. We know a lot of our customers such as non-profits, schools, and houses of worship are working on a budget, and we couldn’t feasibly add it to our cameras without a high price tag for our customers. Please i bought the MOVE 4k a while ago on amazon, the Auto Tracking function is working fine, but its always on wide view of the subject. there is no handle for closer capture of the target, like we have in other auto tracking cameras. I mean there should be a way to capture only the head and upper body region only . Please do you have any updates to fix this? Thanks

We do have a firmware that will be coming soon to add some of these features. What software are you using with the camera? You can apply a digital zoom on the 4K video with a software like OBS or vmix if you are using NDI or HDMI

@@PTZOptics Thanks for the prompt reply I use SDI Output to a video switcher ALSO I have the 30x version And the zoom will not work with auto tracking On So I await the new updates Thanks again

@@theedifyingassembly2985 This video provides a step by step guide on how to firmware upgrade the camera. Steps 1 - 3 go over setting the camera up on your network. If you've already done that, you can skip ahead to step 4 (2:00). The rest of the video goes over downloading and applying the firmware to the camera. Please note, each firmware type can only be applied to that model (Move 4K 30X firmware is only for Move 4K 30X and shouldn't be applied to the 12X or 20X). If you have an assortment of lens types and models, you should repeat steps 4 - 7 on each camera.
