i have a HOLLEY EFI TERMINATOR X STEALTH GM LS 4150 i bought it in spring 2022 before i do initial start up for 1st time do you recommend i do this and up date the 3.5 display and ecu firmware to current version?

just did this in mine, however after attempting to flash to ecu it says "ECU firmware upgrade failed"

@@skylergaitan just had to reload firmware and try again, make sure you actually eject the proper way.

When is the firmware update coming to enable people to choose "map pressure" under boost>system setup>control method dropdown. You've posted on Facebook and asked what needs to be changed and this the topic of map pressure dropdown selection was overwhelming. What else do you need to hear to make it happen? Holley efi is down right awesome. Make it more awesome by listening to the people that use it

No shit! The crappy 3.5 stoipped working so I bought the new 5", but it doesn't work because I need to update the firmware, but can't since the 3.5 touch screen sucks!!!!

You can, but this is faster and less likely to be interrupted.

If going from 2.0 to 3.0 update. Do you skip download from Ecu &save GFC as. Because you already renamed and downloaded tune for 2.0 upgrade.

I would always save my tune to my laptop and have it on hand anyway. Don't be like me. I bought a car with a terminator x version 2 and could have saved the tune to my laptop but I was dumb and didn't. Tried updating to version 3 cord wasn't plugged in all the way and it lost power for a second and now my ecu is bricked and I don't have a tune. 😂

So Def just download it to your laptop incase somthing happens to your ecu....If I can download the version I had v2 and get it to flash back to the version I have is the only hope besides sending it to holley to have them reset it because I can't even get it to detect a ecu anymore. Tried unplugging battery overnight that didn't work so getting a Lil sketchy for me 😅

Every time I down load the new gfs..the ecu shows that it's on the stock fox tune..oh I'm running the sc tune..for a fox

Make sure the little lock tab on your SD card hasn't moved.

@@HolleyPerformance thanks for the tip, got it figured out not long after i posted. although the handheld is still making DLZ files and the terminator x software on my laptop won't read it until I move the files to a different folder and decompress them to a DL file

Dude, you have done this before so you don’t realize how fast you are going through this stuff. It is very difficult to keep up with you. I’ve had to pause and rewind like 10 times already lol……. If you do another video like this, slow down so some of us novice computer people can keep up 😂

I did this step by step now I get the error "Global ICF Local 3, ECU2" Wehn I try to upload my old tune

So go ahead and take your current tune that you have on your SD card and open that file globally in the Terminator software on your desktop or laptop and will automatically upgrade your tune to the version. 3. So it's compatible.
