I am new to the Phantom 3 standard. Took it for the first flight today. I took the first battery out and put in the second fully charged battery in and I got a battery error that says to check battery. When I tap that red message area it takes me to aircraft status and the only red dot says system error. What should i do now? Or can you tell me where to go to find out. Thanks, Jim Owens

You should definitely have the transmitter OFF when doing a Firmware Update. Phantom will not update with controller on probably because doing an update while you may be flying is not a good idea.

You really should remove props when you are updating or doing calibration/configs especially when working with your tx off...

If I was working with a naze32 board yes but this is a phantom

You think the electronics/software it's that good? I just had a flyaway a week ago from a custom build quad with a Naza M Lite that had flew perfect for the last 6 months.. I got an IMU/compass error after 10 min. of flying and I wasn't inspired to immediatly switch it into manual mode. I waiting like a fool for the RTH to do it's work but never did..
