How to upgrade a FAKE JBL CHARGE 2 + (Charge 2 Plus)

This is a quick upgrade of the FAKE JBL CHARGE 2 PLUS speaker, not the greatest because I made some mistakes along the way but that's how we learn to be better.

Each speaker driver is rated at 10W but can go up to 20W peak. Amplifier is rated at 15W per Chanel if powered by a 12v battery. I used only 8 Volts so not sure how many watts it outputs at that voltage.

Yes it's possible to connect the original buttons the upgraded amplifier. I chose not to in this video because I really don't use it. In future videos I will show hot to connect them.

I have the same device but there's a problem and hope you can help. The device doesn't power on but charges fine with the charging indicator increasing to max. When power button is pressed, nothing happens. What would you suggest might be the issue or how to diagnose please?

Xy-p15w isn't the best amp, but is does it's job the best when paired with eq. I have made literally the same thing as how he upgraded his and I tell you, it's not that loud... It clips when the amp is in full volume, so I have to lower it on the amp to match my phone max volume. So people if u want the best loud sound output on this amp I suggest u use a 12v 18650battery pack.. on a 20 w stereo speaker (10w per speaker) that way the amp can get a good supply so it won't clip when in full volume...😁

The reason I did not use a 12 volt battery pack for this upgrade is because the speakers I used can not handle the power at MAX volume. Yes its true it distorts at full volume but I rather have it distort than getting the speaker drivers destroyed if I accidentally play something at full volume ( I am saying this from experience).

Hi Taylor. I'm curious why you said the speakers will burn out. I check the specs and the speaker are 10 -20 watts max and the XY-P15W is 16 watts max at 12v. That seems like a perfect match like your previous videos.

The peak is 20W actually and I thought the same thing too but if you remember my Fake JBL Xtreme 3 upgrade that I used the same setup..well the speakers started to make noise because it couldn't handle the power. It's okay with songs that don't make a lot of bass but when it comes to heavy bass music then you gotta be careful at around 95% volume.

Can you do a db test before and after the upgrade? To test how much louder the new parts compared to the original parts.

what if put a speaker from a broken jbl charge 2+ and then just convert it to pam8403 is that ok?

I am not sure but its possible with some modifications, I would ditch the passive radiators though. They don't work well.

Does reversing only the one side of passive rads can somehow improve the sound quality?

Not really, I just reversed it because for some reason it makes annoying noises when the bass is strong.

Fake always have the "M" button, but it's getting harder with new fake models now because they don't use the "M" anymore.

saan po kayo nakabili ng speakers? nagsearch po ako sa shopee 4ohms 8w lang po nalabas sa 45mm size. if ever po na palitan ko speakers tapos hindi ko pinalipat board eh ok po ba magiging result compared sa before palitan ng speakers? salamat po

The store I bought it from is no longer on Shopee (it got deactivated). If you wish to only change the speaker drivers I suggest only using speaker rating of 3W because the amplifiers the fake JBL comes with is not strong enough to power 5W.
