So happy I found your vid, thanks for the effort of creating and posting it. Things don't quite work for me though. Insite Gold doesn't connect to the site anymore (while it did a couple days ago) and the site id record I had from the installer is... incomplete (I could get it in full from the site config in Insite gold but as I can't connect anymore, that's a dead option). Connecting in Infield via internet panel serial/password doesn't work (wrong credentials) nor does Infield find the IP150 module via scan or direct IP/port connection (although I can telnet to that IP/port just fine). Any ideas, or am I at the mercy of my security company to upgrade the firmware? P.S. I tried the "get latest from web" button in Infield and that ended up in "Unable to locate structure at paradox"

Hi. Email Paradox and ask them to factory reset your IP150. This way it will be removed from your alarm company. The email address is [e-mail] By chance if they won't help you let me know and I will reset it for you.

Hi. With the latest babyware you will be able to do the upgrade. I added the latest version to my site where you can download it. Once you download & install babyware. Open it and look for infield. Then open Infield and follow the steps in the video.

I tried various ways to connect to the module IP150 and finally I have almost succeeded using Babyware 5.5.26 from your site. The problem is that I don't know what is the PanelID value. I know that this value should be known by the installer, but I do not have this info, the installation was 6 years ago. Is it any way to reset or find the Panel ID value?

Thank you!@@JasonTech I have already forwarded port 10,000 but I was afraid about the bootloader version (2.12) and Infield version. I followed the instructions issued by Paradox (to use Infield 4.26.4 and upgrading through outside of the network). I have also asked an advice of a installator and he suggested to upgrade step-by-step using intermediary versions of firmwares. Anyway it was difficult to find the firmwares, as Paradox do not provide them to end-users. I started the upgrade from 4.0 to 4.2 and it was successfuly done, the surprise being that the upgrade was even done automatically to the latest version of firmware (5.2), including bootloader 2.14. Now the access to the web interface is done only with the master code, without other password and there is no option to control the alarm through web interface. I configured the Insite Gold app under trial version and it works. My question is do you know if I can use Insite Gold with static IP (without the need of SWAN service)? Is it working or SWAN and subscription is the only way I can use the app?

I saw in your video that you mentioned it is possible to brick your system, so I'm very careful before I will update. Hi Jason, Great video thanks. My IP150+ is also suffering from Swan server misconnection now and then. I find this unacceptable from a pro company like Paradox but OK... When I opened the application today through the mobile app it said it wants to upgrade and it will take about three minutes and as I did. Because you have the IP150+ it will do the upgrade automatically. Once the upgrade is done, then follow the step.

You can do the upgrade but you have to do the firmware in steps. Do not jump firmware version.

HI i have the following MG5050 : V4.72 IP150 : 1.39.02 IP Boot : 2.12 currently not able to do alot with the system since the MyParadox servers were shut down. not sure what to do about upgrades, i still have iparadox installed and can monitor the system using static IP etc.. but the ip150 module wont send emails as it doesnt seem to support TLS or modern auth systems for smtp. does the firmware upgrade address this? would love to get some more help thanks

Hi Jason, Hoping you can help me. I have an IP150 and MG5050 and trying to update firmware however the In-Field Upgrade software doesn't find them in network. I can access through web browser so I know the IP address and still states 0 modules detected with both versions of the software? I've tried multiple common ports and same result. Notably, IP150 configuration is greyed out through web browser when logged in with Master password, is that normal. Thank you in advance, cheers

I did not previously and I actually now have it detecting something with both the panel s/n and IP/DNS options however unfortunately they both ask me for a Panel ID and PC Password that I don't have? Although I have the Master Code, I can't find these through web browser or MG5050 panel interface and also cannot see advanced options as per your other video and default 0000 or 1111 not working for me. To find the Panel ID it’s section 910 PC Password is section 911

@@JasonTech Where would I find these sections? On the MG5050, web browser or a manual? I think I may need another code that is not the Master Code? An additional Programming or Installer Code? Menu --> System Setup is the area that requires this code on the MG5050 and when Master Code entered it takes to Master Programming screen however nothing more in Options including sections 910 and 911 and web browser multiple links greyed out. Yes you need the installers code to get into those section. If you don't have it, you might have to factory reset the panel to default. And reprogram the panel.

Hi. The problem is the wire at the back of the TM70. The keypad has to be flat against the wall because part of the speaker is on the wall mount.

forgot to add that when I installed babyware I installedit as "standalone". While installing a pop up appears stating that errore opening file for writing .....\NEService.exe ... i clikc the "skip" button and then it complete's the installation process

Are you trying to upgrade both the panel and the IP150? If you are, try doing the IP150 first then the panel. If you need the latest version, let me know, I will give them to you.

Hi Bev, There's a few steps you have to do. - Set the IP150 to DHCP, if it's not already (Easiest way to find out is. Type your IP150, IP address into your web browser then log into it. Go to network and click the DHCP box. - Connect to the panel with Infield - Select the IP150 module - Then pick the latest firmware from the Infield - Click on start transfer - Wait until the upgrade finishes and your done. Let me know if you need anything else.

When I go into Infield and use the file downloaded from your weblink to update my firmware, it comes up with a message saying Selected File Does Not Current Product. Hello, The Insfield software cannot find my ip150 module. What is the problem? On the hand panel (TM50), I can see that the communication with the module is O.K. I know the static IP address, but of i add it manually the problem is the same.

@@JasonTech I tried 4.26.4 version, because my IP150 unit has 2.12.x bootloader. In the meantime, I managed to connect to the device by manually entering the IP address and password. However, Infield does not download the available firmwares. Unable to connect to Paradox server. The IP150 is currently running firmware 1.3x. And I can't download the current firmware. Is it possible to update/replace the bootloader?

Hi Mikey. If you don't know your Panel ID & the PC Password, it's easy to get. But only if you know the installers code. Did you try 000000 on the keypad?

Hi. Question: Do you know how to do port forwarding? Do you already have the port forwarding done? Because for the software update you need port 10000 to be open. Once it's open then you can follow the steps in the video. Let me know if you still need some help.

I have the same problem with an IP150 with bootloader 1.2. there is an official procedure from Paradox I followed using the old version of Infield. I connected Ip150 to a GSM modem and done there a Nat from public IP:10000 to IP150's ip:10000 and Infield running on a computer using a WiFi mobile hotspot (different network) but it doesn't work: the process starts, flags all the steps but fails ad the end (but no consequence/bricking of the ip150)

@@JasonTech I could not connect via my Mac via Parallel. I am now using a PC and it does detect the module via the scan. But when I try to connect to the module, it would not connect. I have already tried disabling all the firewalls etc. However, I can connect via the Internet option with Site ID and email. It is showing boot loader 2.13.002. Is it safe to upgrade the IP150 via the internet communication option? Thanks again

I sort of got scammed by buying an IP150+ by mistake (true, it was my fault for not reading the fine print, but you can't really blame me for choosing a product with a PLUS in its name, which my instinct tells me should maintain all the previous features !). I discovered the hard way that the PLUS version doesn't support a direct browser connection by navigating to its IP address. Anyone else having this problem ? It tries to force you to use SWAM. Kind of unacceptable IMO, since you can't even configure its IP address without the Insite APP...what if I don't have a phone and want to do it all on my PC ? I'll try returning it and getting the IP150 (blank), which the Paradox website explicitly lists as having a web interface, which I HOPE is still true - if anyone could confirm this behavior, I'd be grateful.

Yes, I tried the tool. It discovers the module, but the HTTP port shows up as "zero" and it won't allow me to change any of its settings, like the IP address and port numbers. It lets me change the values and asks me for the password (although the ID field directly above is blank, which is strange right there), it then APPEARS to apply the settings, but in reality nothing gets applied. I was curious if you still have access to an IP150 to confirm it doesn't behave like this even with the newer firmware...

open the tool - right click on the IP address and you will see Module setup. To make any channels you will need to know the Module password.

I'm a paradox dealer, I have the IP150+ and I can change the IP address and I can access it with a web browser. The only thing I can think of is yours was used and is locked to someone account. What are you trying to use it for?

Hmm.. Pity they don't build this functionality into the app, or allow access to the web portal for firmware upgrades. I mean they leave port 10000 open (checked with port scanner), why not 443 for local hosts, or whitelisted devices?

Go ahead and do the update. The Ip150+ has a different boot loader then the IP150S / IP150.

Fyi, I have already downloaded the latest Babyware V5.5.26, opened the In-Field Paradox Upgrade Software V5.5.53 from inside the Babyware & managed to log-in with success using the static IP (I cannot connect from the Internet tab using panel's s/n & pw with this very latest version of Babyware), it is always showing "Detecting", "opening port") of the IP150S module (obtained through DHCP static lease, locked IP to MAC), port 10000. My Control Panel is an MG5000 (MAGELLAN), Firmware Ver Main: 4.80.014 / RF: 2.02.018, Bootloader Ver 2.06.002, Status OK & my TCP/IP Module is an IP150, Firmware Ver 1.39.002, Bootloader Ver 2.12.001, Status OK. The thing is that there's no any Firmware File to choose from at step 3. Also, when I press "Get Latest from web", I get the error "Unable to communicate with Paradox.com update server!". My Windows 10 Defender fw is turned off. I need to upgrade both firmwares (Control Panel & IP Module). On my router I have also configured the following port-forwarding as follows: Service Name Originating IP WAN Interface Server IP Address Start Port End Port Translation Start Port Translation End Port Protocol Modify 1 paradox Default 192.168.1.26 10000 10000 10000 10000 ALL I am able to "telnet 192.168.1.26 10000" locally from my Linux PC which means that the port is open. Can you guide me please? Many thanks in advance. ps: => I have also downloaded the INFIELD SOFTWARE (V5.2.3) from your web site with the same results. There are no files to choose at step 3 & when I press "Get latest from web", I receive "Unable to locate structure at Paradox.com!". => Same with InField (V4.26.4) as well from the Static IP tab (Get latest files button).. --> "Unable to login at Paradox.com". Tried with the Internet tab as well of that version of InField (4.26.4), I input the serial no. of the panel correctly (8 digits), IP password: paradox and using this version of InField (4.26.4) I get an error 156 (invalid panel s/n or ip password). I do confirm that the s/n of the panel is correct (as shown under the Static IP tab) & the IP150S is set to factory defaults.
