How can I flash the ssd from a Mac Pro 6.1 with Thunderbolt 2 connect to the Mac Mini M4? Much appreciated your help!

@@byroneiermann577 according to everything I just looked up, it looks like the TrashCan Mac Pro is too old to flash an Apple silicon machine :/ I don’t have a way to test if this is true, but the internet seems to think you need at least thunderbolt 3..

@ also can’t be done from an iPad or iPhone. I was just googling and you might be able to do it through a windows computer with iTunes but other people disagree. Which is odd. It sounds like you need to find someone with a Mac. Or take it to an Apple Store and ask if they’ll help you in DFU mode to ‘restore’ a Mac, which just means reinstall the firmware. They don’t have to know you replaced the drive

OH SHOOT, I just realized, seeing this again, that I thought you were responding on the M4 Mac mini SSD upgrade! You'll be able to clone the SSD for this Victus laptop with a program called Donemax Disk Clone on your Mac Pro!!

@S.D.W. Dude your production rocks!! Hope the monitor is ok, or next video will be how to replace that monitor lol BTW any reason why you did not use DiskGenius? Is that software you use also freeware?

@@fullyelectric the software I used has a full month free trial, and I don’t see myself needing to do this too often so it’s effectively free! The monitor does have a little like 1/4” by 1” dead pixel zone now, well yellow pixels.. but that’s ok!

@ ahh sorry to hear about the monitor, thats true for most people they will only need todo this clone like once by the next time they are out of space its time for a newer laptop anyways lol for me i do allot of system cloning .. running a ton of nodes etc.. so yeah free DiskGenius for the win 🏆, still you got a link to that software?

hello sir my victus 2050 is malfunctioning boot loop and all that crap i took it to the IT guys here at my school they said its ssd problem like i thought it was a power issue at first because whenever the charger is plugged out it turns off but they just said its the ssd problem probably the OS got corrupted or something i dont know im thinking of taking it to tech shop today plz ANSWER !!11 Thanks again

@ I haven’t replaced it yet they reprogrammed it but the problem still occurred so my uncle agreed to doing it for me I didn’t do the whole cloning step because I was advised to let a professional do it

@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE No no there is only 1 ssd slot but the second is not developed, it is just left in there unusable with just the "ssd 2" text on it.

What do u do if the clone fails? About 30% of the way in of the clone it popped up on macrium reflect it said it failed..

ooo interesting - well, luckily, the act of cloning it erases and formats it as the first step - so if you just start it over, it will undo whatever happened on the drive. I hope it works the second time. I don't know if maybe your computer tried to go to sleep or something? Or do a windows update?

Damn yea we tried it about 5 times doing different things that could be the cause.. We tried seeing if maybe there was a bad sector in the drive using the mini tool program but it didn't find anything doing the surface test.. We checked for updates and had one but that didn't fix it either.. Thanks for the video though was able to follow step by step and did everything but maybe his drive is no good or is it possible the new drive was bad? I know nothing about computers but now I feel like I know a couple things lol
