Digital proportional radio and receiver? It looks to be either full power or null/off. Easily destroyed with too much speed.

Jon B Baca Actually aluminum is bad for the car if you do offroad thins. For onroad car models it works perfectly fine. In offroad situation you crash more often so it would bend. Glass fiber reinforced plasic (RPM) makes more sense for offroad cars.

Все хорошо, но мотор лучше 2440, так как вал у него толще и подходит под пиньён (не будет проблем с центровкой), esc лучше поставить Hobbywing QuicRun 16BL30 30A, так как то что в видео греется безбожно)), ну и ни в коем случае не ставить переходники с jst на t-plug, лучше перепаять разъем на аккумуляторе)

Hi. Could you measure the shaft diameter of both motor? I got the same model but the motor shaft is only 2 mm instead of 2.3 mm. And it makes the pinion gear moves in elliptical rotation. Thanks!

Mine is a Piece of Crap! Mine had stripped gears within the first 3 minutes of using it. Cost me just over $80 Canadian to buy it and get it to me on Vancouver Island. I read all the instructions.. It says to deplete the battery before charging.. so I did just that. Put the battery in without charging and took this crazy thing for a spin. I will flat out admit.. IT IS INSANELY FAST AND RESPONSIVE! The video's do not lie. Im just wondering how many others had my next experience.. Not 3-5 min later as I was just getting control of this beast.. It stopped dead in its tracks. I thought the battery was dead. When I went up to it.. the LED was still on.. and when I gave throttle.. the motor just pulsed. I thought it was because of a low battery. Next day I charged up the battery. Went to take it for a spin.. but it was hit with the same issue as the day before. Motor was pulsing.. but no go. So while holding the vehicle, I spun all 4 tires.. Then gave it max throttle. Only then did the wheels spin.. but with the worst Gear Grinding Sound you Could Imagine! I haven't taken it apart yet.. but am pretty sure its the main drive gear off the motor that has failed. Yes I can buy replacement parts. But hey.. guess what.. the gear I probably need is attached to the motor.. even though they show it as it's own part number in the Parts Replacement Guide. You have to buy the entire Motor Assembly. Considering I bought this from China.. Im not exactly sure just buying a replacement part is worth it.. Either way... I dont care what you pay for something.. It SHOULD NOT FAIL IN THE FIRST 3-5 MINUTES! Before you even have a chance to charge the battery for the first time!

Same thing happened to me with my WL toys A959 buggy this was my first rc car and my father bought it for me. I drove it indoors for 2 minutes then the car stopped and i heard gears grinding so i thought it had some transmission and it is on neutral so I gave it full throttle and grinded both gears badly wheels spun in air but not on ground. When I opened it I found a solid pebble stuck in metalgear and it grinded the plastic and brass gears. So after almost a year in June 2018 i fixed it without buying any other part ( I don't want to spend money on cheap cars but that was my fathers gift so I loved it and i also dont have any hobby shop in nearby) I fixed it by using a dremel like tool to grind both gears tooth to make it look like a pulley ( I didn't grind it all the way down ) and then put a rubber band in between them both and it worked but the ruber band broke so I put an 'O' ring in between them and it still works.I removed front axle rods to reduce the load on the O ring and motor.It is now a rear wheel drive car and not a 4WD. i also removed the safety housing like cap above the gears because they were touching it.Now I had another problem that its ESC shorted after 10 minutes drive Maybe because water got in (although it says it is waterproof) I googled so I know that my ESC has shorted and it drives for 40 seconds then stop and only turn and not drive. Thanks alot for reading my comment. BTW you can avoid the grinding gears problem bye simply removing front axle rods so front wheels don't spin faster and through dirt directly into your car. Look at 7:03 and see front wheel throwing dirt back into car

I installed the same motor you did but the metal gear I bought was too big for the motor shaft. Did you have that problem? The shaft size 2mm and the metal pinion bore is 2.3mm.

Why cant you upgrade it with the original Controller? What speed was that 2435 motor? i reckon 60 - 70 k which is lightning for something that small. In the end, you will spend $350 with all upgrades, but it seems like a fun little car, and would be great to teach me to upgrade as i have limited skills with working on car. This could be a great experment to do with my son to learn. Then i may have the courage to play with my expensive cars.

Yep..i hv the same question too. I used a 2040 motor that i found with 2.3mm shaft. So far so good. My 2430 & 2435 cannot be used as they hv 2mm shaft
