I think this is beautiful! I've noticed in so many ways people are sometimes unkind in their comments. I'm from the generation of 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything!' There is a kinder way to say 'I don't like it'... BUT how could anyone not like your work. You are PRO!

I would never leave a negative or less than polite comment on anyone’s work. I love French provincial furniture and the bowed front of this piece is beautiful. The colors you chose, your blending are superb…the addition of the moulds knocked it out of the park. I’ve also commented on the finished piece on your Facebook page. Since you asked you don’t mind hearing comments on what someone would do differently as it may inspire you for future pieces, in my humble opinion the addition of the transfers was just too much. It took away from the beautiful paint colors and the beautiful application of the paint across the front of this awesome sideboard. That’s all…thank you for what you do!

Brandy, listening to your video, I agree with what you are saying. People might not like the colors you are using and they might say they don't "like" it. I think maybe they are not saying what they mean sometimes. They shouldn't really say anything negative at all, after all, it is your design. They can do what they want with their pieces. I LOVE what you do, colors, techniques and all. I've learned tons by listening to you... You are truly an artist!!! Don't listen to the haters...they are just jealous......!!

I am in complete agreement on the negative comments! It is so discouraging and completely unnecessary! Not everyone will love every piece and that’s okay. It’s not okay to be critical of an artists’ piece just because you don’t like the colors, design, etc. It seems folks are forgetting lessons learned in kindergarten! If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all! Mean people stink! Btw.... you are completely amazing! Everything you make, I love so much! You are inspiring and uplifting! Thank you for sharing your talent!

As a fellow furniture artist I agree with what you are saying not everyone is going to like a certain piece and will always seem to have an opinion but wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same thing !! That's why its called creativity for a reason if people don't like a piece, i agree with Amanda don't say anything at all move on !! For the ones that don't appreciate it there will be others that will. We cannot please everyone and nor should we. The work you do is phenomenal its all about the creativity and that's that. Thank you for sharing your tips and talent with us all. Veronika

I agree with you speaking up about negative comments, you guys put yourself out there- live and in person, to help & show us techniques, I would guess anyone posting something negative would never have the guts to do that! Even if something is not my style, I still enjoy to watch and learn. I have been watching you and CrysDawna, and a couple others for a couple years and its been so helpful. You have given me confidence to give some pieces a try (for personal use). I even went to the work shop in Ontario, Ca and got to meet both of you. Keep up the good work, for every one of the negative Nancy's out there, there's 1000 of us that are grateful for what you are doing!!

I agree with your “lecture”, people today hide in their homes and behind their electronic devices and throw out negativity into the world and it is bad energy for everyone. My Mother used to say “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. I love your work. You are a very sharing team; you and your husband are fun to watch and listen to. I appreciate what I have learned from you and you are excellent ambassadors for a great product; Dixie Belle. Keep being a positive, artistic force! This piece is gorgeous. Your painting & blending is amazing... I would have changed the mold design, cherry blossoms are traditionally Asian... & your furniture piece is French, so French -Asian in style ? English furniture goes better with Asian. I think acanthus designs for molds would have been more cohesive with your French sideboard, just my opinion as an interior designer. But, I know some people like to mix it up & that's OK... I just like to keep a furniture piece if it's classic, all the way classic ---then add a contemporary painting hanging on the wall above traditional furniture. anyway... Keep doing what you're doing, your painting is absolutely B E A U T I F U L💗💗💗.
