Since you bought a replacement motor, you might be able to buy another one and use it on the other side. Most 6 volt models are designed for two motors, but they only have one. Having an extra motor will help reduce spinning, when the car is on a smoother surface. There are two things to consider: The car may not have the wiring for the other motor, but that can be figured out. The easiest thing would be to wire it in parallel with the other motor. The other thing to consider is that the wheel on the non-powered side might be different. If the left and right rear wheels are the same, you should be able to run that car with two motors. Of course, your daughter may have outgrown the car already, but it's something to consider.

Keep in mind, the high RPM motors have very low torque..so its easy to burn them up (or at least trip the internal cut-off). If you go through grass/dirt/mid, go for a much lower speed motor like an 18k rpm. And also be sure to run a voltage regulator to force any increased voltage down to the stock voltage so you dont burn up your radio/speaker/lights/etc. Also make sure you run a 30/40A fuse after the battery, dont want to catch anything on fire :)

I did this years ago for my kids i put a Makita battery in all their power wheels and they told their friends in the neighborhood and it lasted longer than the regular battery my youngest is 25 about 29 years ago I had done this

If it’s the same design gearbox I’m sore it will fit and for the voltage I would recommend 24v or more. If you go with less voltage it will not put out it’s rated speed and torque.

It could be the battery needs to be replaced. Over time batteries tend to get week.
